This is a terrible tragedy, there is no reason to spin religion around it unless it is specifically religion based. This was clearly an insane person. Does him being Islamic have anything to do with it? I'm sure that may very well come out.

There was a little JW girl who asked me the other day "Do you celebrate Christmas?" This was out of the blue. I told her "No I don't, why do you ask?" "Well you are never at the meetings." I don't know, it was just weird...

Did you ever think that they are frustrated? They have nowhere to vent, to express their rage toward their situation. This may be the only place they have to do that. Have you ever worked a job that you hated? If you bitch and bitch to your boss, you probably won't keep that job for very long. So they bitch and complain to their friends about their job. That's just how it is.
i confess i have not been keeping up with all the chat here in groups but i just wanted to say that we have had 54% of our hall pioneering this month and its absolutely amazing.
we have never seen anything like it and i am so grateful to the governing body for this provision.
everyone is energized.
You know what would really energize people? Getting rid of the pioneer status and just saying "get however many hours you want".
i have an old friend from jw's that has been trying to track me down.
she finally found me today.
of course to invite me to memorial.

i just started reading book 1 of the left behind series.
it is very interesting.
i remember when the jw's used to condem these books as well as a lot of others.
I read one of the books. I didn't know they were religiously themed until I started reading it. I didn't read the first one either. I can't even remember which one it was.
