Yeah but if it was wired beforehand dogs would have sniffed them out. As regards Silverstein and his "pull" comment, "pull it" is not a term used for controlled demolition. Its a term used for pulling a building down with cables. Not to mention, do you really think Silverstein would be that stupid to admit to demolishing his own building on tv? It wasn't a slip of the tongue. A man who gets where he got doesnt make mistakes like that. There is plenty of firefighters who were filmed before the collapse saying they were concerned about the stability of the building and that they were going to pull out.

Because if you can't prove bombs were put in the buildings, there can't be a controlled demolition. I already told you ProdigalSon, you can't rig a building of that size to be demolished in that short of a time period. It's IMPOSSIBLE! Even on buildings half that size that are ABANDONED COMPLETELY, it would take months.

Yeah Lars BUT apparently the Great Tribuation is supposed to take place over a span of time and not be one moment in time. How can you even be sure those prophecies were not just prophecies for their time? Who says they have to have a greater fulfillment? Also, day and hour in the Bible often means a time period and not a literal day or hour.

You still cant say how the bombs got in there and why dogs were never able to sniff them out. Metal doesnt have to melt in order to collapse a building. Just has to weaken enough. Until you explain how bombs got in there, your other points are moot.

help appreciated...any success or failures at truly conscious efforts to make new friends after a life in jwland? As a very social person i still only seem to have ex-dubs as my new friends...
by oompa inas a jw...at least if you were social...you could walk into about any hall and find other social jw's you could become friends with...yes they are conditional...perhaps more so than other friends, but i did have some great friends there and i still miss them.
since my wake up....then departure....now df status....i realize that i have had only seven or so real friends and five were found here..... five are fairly local, one is far away, and one is an old high school friend i have reconnected with (lives a thousand miles away).....and i have met some nice people through these friends but they are more aquaintances than close friends.
the bar scene did not really get me anywhere with guys or girls...and i tried meetup.com but as of yet have not connected with anyone....so what worked for you?

I have found friends through employment mostly. Fortunately, also, my brothers never got into jwdom so I have found friends in their friends as well.

Does that not mean that nobody could know the last days as well? I think the Jws put too much literal meaning into it. JWs say last days begin in 1914 but Jesus said nobody would know the day or the hour. Would that not also apply to the last days as well? All of the signs Jesus listed are things that have occurred throughout history. Do you think maybe Jesus meant that "as long as these types of things are occurring, be on the watch"? He was not talking about any particular span of time. Or do you think his prophecy only refers to Jerusalems destruction and not any fulfillment past that.

Not all atheists believe in little green men from Mars. It depends on your definition of alien. An alien could be considered some bacteria or any other small life forms. That doesnt not necessarily mean intelligent life.
