We all know WT only really cares about the WT. The WT loves when stuff like this happens. It helps their recruiting efforts when they use it as a sales pitch. When disasters strike the WT is all in to help non-Witnesses with the essentials. Like the WT comic books.

Their "comfort" is the same kind that those TV psychics use to scam people out of their money.

i don't know how many times i have heard that lie from the platform.

i have heard that line of rubbish at big and great boasting sessions as well.

the witlesses act as if they get as many toys as worldly people, just scattered throughout the year.. now, i have seen many cases where that simply isn't true.

Do Witnesses Ever Talk About Their Living Forever And Never Dying?

my 86 year old mother stopped believing she was going into paradise earth without dying first, about 10 years ago.

my aunt used to think she was going to make it through the great tribulation.

even a week before she died, she clung on to this fairy tale.. do you think jws believe they will never die at all and will, in their lifetime, be on a paradise earth to live forever?.

I noticed when anybody would talk about Paradise in conversations in service or in other gatherings after they would say something nice about Paradise they would stare off into the distance. Now that I think about it it was like a thousand-yard stare. I don't think most really believe it is going to happen anytime soon.

just had a couple of jws stop by my house.

they had been before several times and know that i'm a pretty devout catholic, so i'm sure they were just swinging by to get more time for the card.. well, this time the opening line was about the tragedy in ct. i mean, really?

you're going to try to get converts by capitalizing on this tragedy?

They did the same thing after 9/11. I remember people saying how many books and other crap they placed after 9/11. Almost like they were happy it happened so they could put some numbers on a piece of paper.

Sincere Apology

i just wanted to give an overall apology regarding how i was speaking to people on friday.

but the shooting really shook me up.

i think i said some things that were offensive to people, and even if my words were not offensive, the way i expressed myself was.

Not sure what you said but judging from how your posts usually are, it couldn't have been too bad. I think everybody was pretty emotional on Friday.

I've been trying to avoid reading any more stories about it because it is just too much.

i asked for jah to bless and comfort the families of the newtown, ct massacre.

Man I'm really ticked at what that elder said. I would have let him have it.

I know of a couple people in my hall who might have made an issue about it like the elder did.
