Bored. The plot jumps around, I can't identify with the protagonist or the antagonist and both seem inconsistant from the start of the story to the end. To be honest it's less a cohesive narrative and more of an anthology and I prefer a long involved and contigous narrative to a collection of novella's and short stories.

What do you get when you just read the Bible?
by Nathan Natas inthis is the youtube video that was mentioned during rick fearon's six screens teleconference on may 22, 2010.. listen to what an arizona circuit servant says is the result of "just reading the bible.".
isn't it ironic that this organization's motto is "read god's word the bible daily"?.

I was trying not to post spoilers but yeah, everything on the show after about episode 4 has veered from the books somewhat. Lafayette not getting killed, the person who actually kills the serial killer at the end of season 1(liked the book version MUCH better). Most everything that has happenned to Tara is not in the book as she is mostly a minor character. I wonder for this season if Sookie will even get involved with Alcide or the Were Tiger(next book?? cant remember) since by this time I though she had ended her relationship with Bill after finding the reason they even met in the first place was that Bill was on a mission to woo her by the Queen of Louisianna?

I thought the first episode was good but it seemed like more of a teaser for the rest of the seasons story. Which is probably the intention. For those who like the show, and like to read as well, I've enjoyed the "Southern Vampire Mystery" series of books that the show is based on. Even if you read the books you still don't know whats specifically is going to happen since they have changed a good number of specific plot points and added additional plots to the story that do not appear in the books.

Should a Christian see the movie "AVATAR"?
by skeeter1 ini give the movie a 6.5 score.
the scenery was wonderful, but the plot was not zipped up well.
it sort of follows the story-line of "dances with wolves", but in space.. .

My wife wants to know if the information for the Sunday talk at the Circuit Assembly (our last one early this year) was an outline or one that had to be read from a script. The point being that if it was a script then several people at least would have to be complicit in shoddy reasearch or in knowlingly saying something outrageously false.
Oh and did anyone else hear the same info at thier Circuit Assembly or did this brother just decide to go on a rant about Avatar himself? I kinda suspect he read the email going around and used the material almost word for word in his talk. Which would be telling in of itself for him since that material did not come thru the 'faithfull and discrete slave'.
To sum up:
1) Was the talk scripted or outline?
2) Did any other CA public talks have the same info in it?

What happens if you are unbaptised publisher for many years?
by XPeterX inare they going to kick you out of the congo if you don't get baptised?what is going to happen?.

Yep, go to see an R rated movie, be unrepentant about not following the 'recomendations' of the slave class and get DF'd. Don't do the one thing that is supposed to be the most important aspect of being a 'christain'/JW and oh well he's just weak.

Not preaching semi okay?
by techdotcom inso i havn't gone out in field service in something like 10 years.
doesn't it seem wierd that for a religion and organization that stresses the importance of 'preaching the good news', that not doing so seems so low on the discipline list?
seriously you can miss a couple of meetings and someone will probably feel you out to see if something (spirital or physical) is wrong.

Yeah, I just think it's funny that out of all the rules a witness is supposed to follow that going out in service gives you recognition as a publisher but no real punishment if you don't. Whereas so many other things that seem less important for a witness can result in a DF.

So what happens when you don't vote in Australia?
by icer101 inthis is my first post, and to be honest, the main reason why i signed up here was to ask this very question:.
"what happens when a jehova's witness doesn't vote in australia?
do they get fined?

Of course, you could just go ahead and go the the ballot box according to the information from the society. What you do when you are there is up to your conscience. At least that is what the literature seems to say.
WT Nov 1st 1999 (thx JW facts for that one)
And one of the new publications from 2008, I'll have to look on the library CD and post that. If someone else has it handy have a go at it. These, of course completly contradicts what any witness I have asked believes to be true and what some of the other sited sources from the literature state. Search for "voting" on the cd rom and notice how wives of unbelievers are encouraged to go to the voting booth if thier unbelieving mate demands it.
I wonder what the surviving brothers and sisters in Malawi think about this softend stance on showing christain neutrality?

All the stinking time....Anyone remember the scene with Will Ferrel from Land of the the Lost? "Do you ever get tired of being wrong." "YEAH I really do!" (running from dinasoar) lol I feel his pain.
