This didn't age well. I know it's not yet inauguration day, but I hope I'm bothered enough and remember to post here again on that day. Use your cognitive skills and realize what's going to happen instead of wishing against reality.

Please,I need non-"apostate" info./sites for my exit case on following topics
by Kensho ini'm preparing for my exit after 4 years of de-programming myself from the cult (much help from here..thank you) been fading for as long as i can to keep decades of family and friends, but the moment the "real truth" is arriving soon.. i desire to make an intelligent defense for my actions and of course will never get to first base using any resource material that will shut down the process by my blind brothers and family members.. i have collected some resources on my own, but would appreciate help in the following.. 1) child abuse.
2) ngo un docs.
3) follow the money any public records of what the borg spends or invest our money on.

That's a tough one. Because the honest truth is that even if there are legitimate articles out there, like the one in The Guardian, once they do their own Google search the first things that'll pop on their screen will be apostate websites that quote the article. And so right there they will assume they you would only have ever come to your decision by visiting apostate websites and that, well intentioned as it may have been, your mind is now poisoned.
I suppose you COULD say that you originally read the article from its direct source because a family member sent it to you before the apostate sites got hold of it, and that it's been bugging you forever.

Most likely the sister immediately to the left of the easel is the one who is counting her time witnessing, and the others are random JWs touring the city or something like that, saw their "sister" in the ministry, and decided to take a picture, no doubt reinforcing the strength and validity of their religion in their minds. Sorry for the runon sentence. Nah, not really.

The Better Angels of our Nature
by cofty inin his new book "the better angels of our nature" harvard professor steve pinker argues that humans are becoming less violent.
"as europe became more urban, cosmopolitan, commercial, industrialised and secular, it got safer.
perhaps as important is the increasing respect for women violence is a problem not just of too many males but of too many young males... the human race has come to share the goal of finding ways of overcoming the universal appeal of aggression.

"He who seeks the truth, follow him. He who finds it, question him." Or some form of the quote thereof. I'm almost an Ancient Astronaut theorist. Like someone here said, just like there are good and bad people, there may very well have been good and bad visitors who visited upon us in our ancient past and effected change and growth. Or even evolutionary hindrance. Either way, I don't have any real answers. But it makes more sense to me than believing another flesh and blood man who is at the same stage of evolution as me. I also like how someone else said, "I believe in myself." Indeed, something the WT discouraged me to do.

I would tend to agree with LeavingWT, Kensho. You must have regular interactions with your wife. You and I have had several Private Message communications and in those, you have admitted that your wife and yourself tend to spend a lot of time apart and that she's many times audibly resented that. You've said that she resents how much time you spend in your own world and that pretty much the only time you two spend together is going to meetings or pretty much doing anything "theocratic". I'm afraid, my friend, that this configuration is not condusive to helping her out at all, nor will it help if you ever DO get outted. There is a certain psyche to a woman (to everyone really) and my guess is that subconciously she has associated her initial love for you with her love for the Organization. After all, you mentioned that you were once very active and influential in it.
The only way you could survive is to appeal to her human, her woman. While I was in the organization, I realized the difference in metrics there is when it comes to dating in the Borg, and dating in the real world. In the Borg, you don't appeal to the human in your prospective mate. You shy away from sexually exciting conversations, from talking about traveling and doing exciting things. You do most everything on an intellectual level, a "spiritual" level. In the real world, you use charm, sex, and a lot of passion to create a bond. In the real world there is no nonsense of "you love Jehovah so much, therefore I love you" which is why in the real world you can get couples of differing faith to marry. In the real world dating/marriage scenario, either mate can lose their "faith" and STILL be in love with the other because that love was real, based on human attraction, not some crazy weird "spiritual alignment" attraction. Do you understand what I mean?
My advice to you is to read The Player's Handbook (sorry, ladies! lol Actually, I recommend all mothers to share the player's handbook with their daughters) and start cultivating a hardcore physical and EMOTIONAL attraction, a HUMAN attraction. This will be a proactive effort on your part and will take a lot of time away from WATCHING FOOTBALL, news, or whatever it is you do in your personal life. You sound conflicted, friend, and I only wish to help you and others in the same situation. The spouse is usually the toughest thing to deal with in a situation like this, and I'll always say the same thing: get him/her to love you more than he/she loves the Watchtower, and you'll see how easy it is to get them to choose. Case in point: ADAM AND EVE. Adam chose Eve because Eve was REAL to Adam and spent a lot of time with him while God was away doing... well, God knows what. It's programming and conditioning, Effendi. You've obviously allowed the WT to program your wife more effectively than you have. And I don't mean it in a bad way, like, "PROGRAM YOUR WIFE" in a Stepford Wives sort of way, but you get my meaning. If you don't spend quality time with your wife, and she's spending more time dreaming about how good the governing body is to her and constantly giving her love notes in the form of Watchtowers, etc etc, well, is it any wonder she'll fantasize more about them and the "new world" than you?
Ok, I'm done. Anyone feel free to converse this with me. I hope I've ignited a few sparks.
And like I always say:

What age should you get baptized?
by newcomer1982 inas from today i am disfellowshipped.

If i ever get disfellowshipped for any reason I am going to sue, because i was baptized at age 13. I was a minor and I'll argue that I was coerced into making a decision I wouldn't have made as an adult. I'll move to make it invalid and negate the baptism.

Onthewayout: CptKirk was talking about the virgin who slept on his feet every night. She got screwed cuz she never got any. She was basically a blanket. Pretty messed up. I can't imagine it would be pleasant to sleep on some old guy's feet every night.

Did anyone ever see the old 80's movie "The Gate"? The Bible came in handy when it temporarily stopped those little monsters from hell. It closed the gate for a little while when they through it in there.

What always gets me is the *some names have been changed... WHY? Why do they still do that? If the person who was "interviewed" agreed to do the story, and if his or her name (oh, that's another thing, it's always him/he/his in the WT and Awakes, never the now correct him or her when referring to a generalization) is John, Ashley, Derek, or anything else that's common, who the heck cares?
Definitely would agree that a teenager isn't listening to both heavy metal and rap. 99% accuracy I can assure you (LOL).
I'm gonna try to be as completely honest and impartial as I can be about this, and I hope I don't sound like a bigot, conservative, whatever. I wish you could just trust me on that. But here goes: in my short amount of time being here on this literally God forsaken planet, I have noticed that music really does divide and unite people. While I'm not going to say that "rap" or hip hop or "heavy" metal (I was listening to some punk the other day and a friend said, "I didn't know you listened to heavy metal!" bwah ha ha!) or ANY type of music directly contributes to substance abuse delinquency, I will say that music can definitely be a powerful tool to reinforce internal desires, insecurities, or certain behaviours.... ahem, behaviors. Somebody here mentioned Tupac, so I'll take him. Sure, his message was definitely relatable to a whole bunch of people, and the guy had some talent, but I don't think he did anything substantial to help "his people" or what he was trying to fight against. Most of the time he was just complaining about how unfair the world was. In the end, he did leave something behind: a generation (or two or three) of thug wannabes (thug wannabes... seriously, kids who want to be criminals) walking around with their asses hanging in the wind and their balls tightly squeezed in the newly discovered opposable thumb weilding hand. Oh, and bad attitudes towards authority.
Hey, I think authority stinks when placed in the wrong hands, and it should definitely always be questioned. But just seems to me that some music just incites people to say "F#$K everybody else. I need this so I'm taking it," or "What the f#%k you lookin at? Yeah I'm smoking cigarettes 4 feet from your kid and yeah I'm gonna throw this garbage right here on the grass. I spit on order and cleanliness."
meh... i don't even know why i posted. maybe that was cathartic. i'm outta here.
