One thing is to "choose" what story to believe on, another is to find reasonable biochemical explanations. Once the facts are on the table (abiogenesis or evolution), the only "choice" you have is to deny the facts in favor of stories.

By the way, Sylvia, please get your terms straight: the "origin of life" is a totally different concept from evolution: AFTER the origin of life, came evolution, which is the change in the genetic material of a population of organisms through successive generations.
Evolution is a real, explained, observable and measurable fact of life.

Evolution does not work alone as in in vacuum, it happens in synergy with the environment.
All plants, bacteria and animals are interconneted - and we even share a great deal of genes.
