Russell became rich after founding WatchTower?
by GermanXJW ina participant on german infolink-board claims that russell was not rich before he founded the watch tower society.
he refers to an english source.
i am reluctant to believe this but here are people like rr who can answer with authority:.

Keep in mind that the same people claim that Russell was wealthy and because of this had connections to masons.
From: http://m2.aol.com/RichClark7/rev/masonic.htm
Masonry is just a veiled form of Satanism using occult terminology to hide itself from the initiate until he is so fully involved that it is nearly impossible to escape.
On July 14, 1889, the grand pontiff of universal free masonry, Albert Pike, issued instructions to the 23 supreme councils of the world. He said,
"That which we must say to the crowd is: We worship a god, but it is the god that one adores without superstition." And he also said, "To you sovereign grand inspectors general, we say this, that you may repeat it to the brethren of the 32nd, 31st and 30th degrees - the Masonic Religion should be by all of us initiates of the high degrees, maintained in the purity of the Luciferiandoctrine." And again said, "If Lucifer were not God, would Adonay (Jesus - God of Christians)... calumniate [speak evil of] him?" - "Yes, Lucifer is God..."

[Story no longer online? Read this] More NewsCLEONA, Pa. A woman who said she repeatedly told Jehovah's Witnesses to stay off her property won a $632 judgment against one of them who showed up at her door and woke her up anyway.
Jennie Basiago was awarded the money by a local district justice after filing a civil trespassing complaint against Bernadine DiStefano, a member of the Palmyra Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Basiago said followers of the religion came to her home every few months for 12 years and she called two Kingdom Halls in October and threatened legal action if the visits continued.
But two Jehovah's Witnesses awakened the late-shift worker in February after driving down a 300-foot lane past eight no-trespassing signs and three dog-warning signs, Basiago said.
(...)
DiStefano said the visit was an accident. Basiago was on a list of homeowners who had requested no visits, but officials in East Hanover Township assigned new addresses in the area and the list was not updated.
(...)
Basiago had sought $8,000 in damages, but Smith awarded her $40 for each of the two days she spent researching DiStefano's identity and a day for lost sleep, then added that to the $395 penalty for trespass under criminal statutes, plus court costs. DiStefano said she had not decided if she would appeal.

Theologically, Jehovah's Witnesses is a cult of Christianity. It does not represent historical, biblical Christianity.

Friendly warning for JW lurkers re: blood in food
by Kingpawn ini work in a meat-processing plant in the us.
one of the products we make is the stuff that becomes roast beef.
i can't tell who for, and we're not their only supplier, but they're big enough to advertise nationwide in america, so..... anyway, when we do our part on my line, before the meat's sent to the next step, we drip blood from the meat's box in the container the raw meat's dumped into.

"The Scriptures clearly show that it would be wrong for a dedicated Christian to donate whole blood for use by someone else either in a transfusion of whole blood or or in a transfusion of any of its four primary components (Acts 15:20)." ----WTBTS
Really?!
Acts 15:20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and [from] fornication, and [from] things strangled, and [from] blood.
Clearly
shows nothing of the sort!Back then they had no idea blood transfusions were possible. They were unaware of its basic components and that they could be used lovingly to save lives.
How about Leviticus 4:7 "And the priest shall put of the blood upon the horns of the altar of sweet incense before Jehovah, which is in the tent of meeting; and all the blood of the bullock shall he pour out at the base of the altar of burnt-offering, which is at the door of the tent of meeting."
Aint that offering kind of dark and pagan? If not, why is it that the WT does not make blood offerings to Jehovah?
The WT has distorted the Scriptures in a way that that such practice and subsequent deaths glorify their man-made organization.

Busted!!! Caught lying again
We find the Watch Tower Society practicing their belief that it is proper to deceive people. But they say this really isn't lying. Why? Because the Society has a different definition of lying than most of us. In their book "AID TO BIBLE UNDERSTANDING" under the word "LIE" we read:
"Lying generally involves saying something false to a person who is ENTITLED to know the truth....". "While malicious lying is definitely condemned in the Bible, this does notmean that a person is under obligation to divulge truthful information to people who are not entitled to it".
Of course it is the Watch Tower leaders who decide WHO deserves to know the truth.
