  i am highly considering becoming a jehovah's witness.

  i have been raised in the congregration, but left it when i was a child because my mom left too, but we still retatined the core belifs including the ressurection and the blasphemous pagan influence on mainstream churches.

  my mom has recently returned to the congregation, and it has helped her a lot.

  What is righteous about your cult's two-witness rule? Or keeping law enforcement at bay on child abuse cases? Or shunning? Or wife abuse?...... The quality of justice is the benchmark of each civilization. JW's are unjust, divisive and manipulative, no matter how hard you wave your bible ot try to justify your unscrupulous doctrines. Your cult's "love" is intolerant, unwilling to reason, unavailable for compromizes and incapable of empathy for the lives it has sacrified and the multiple families it has destroyed. Your cult's "love" is afraid of introspection and avoids a bigger perspective. Your cul'ts righteousnes is antisocial, psychologicaly toxic while looking forward to death & destruction. I have a name for your inhumane and useless "love" (TM) you spill in here, Fred, but it can not be expressed in a decent forum like this. Wake up and smell the flowers.   Was There Something That Ever Bothered U About The "Truth" While U Were In?

  when i used to read the prophecies of revelation and see the society's interpetation i often thought to myself, "how could this be"?

  i shelved a lot of things, hoping that maybe i'd understand over time or the "light would get brighter".. as an elder, i used to wonder how they (the society) could tell the elders one thing and put into print another thing.

  while the rank and file were being told at the watchtower studies how the elders were to not judge unfairly at judicial committees, the elders were told to be safe rather than sorry when it came to "removing the wicked man from our midst".

  can you guys give me some examples of some of the flickers of light?

  a jw threw the "the light gets brighter" thing at me and i want to ask what it means when they flip flop between yes and no on issues.

  the whole rainbow thread piqued my curiosity.

  i have often wondered how you know without speaking to someone if they are gay and you are not in a known gay place - like um brighton or the candy bar in london.. does anyone know of any other gay and lesbian symbols or signs?.

  someone told me once that a ring on your pinkie was a sign - can anyone verify the truth of this?.

  How do you know without talking or being in a gay bar?

  Exactly. One of my most memorable moments was when I did a stopover in Toronto. I took a room at ground level of a downtown hotel. Right below me was a disco/bar with the anoying BOOM-BOOM sound shaking everything in my room. I asked the manager at what time the bar closed and that gave me about 3 more hours of noise. I was very tired but decided to go downstairs for a drink instead of bitching about it.

  I got a drink at the bar and walked to the oposite end of the packed room. Weird feeling....Took me a couple of minutes to identify the weird feeling: there were no women in sight. I was in a GAY bar. I immediately was hoping there were no reporters taking photos to be published.

  I left the place hoping I don't offend anybody in my shocked state but I took another look at the crowd. 95% were quite normal looking, without cliches or manerisms. I always thought of stereotypes. My gay-o-meter had never worked.

  I once heard about gay guys having a handkerchief sticking out their rear trouserpants denims pocket to show they were both gay and available, but I think that may have been a west coast thing.

  I've seen that in Mexico, USA and Canada.

  put new light in questions from readers...... watchtower may 1, 07.....questions from readers... when does the calling of christians to heavenly hope cease?.....this article does with away with the harvesting of the 144,ooo ending in 1935 that the society has more than insinuated for years.

  now they have left it open ended, same as a generation.

  Of course they will wiggle their way out of 1914, "this generation", etc. New light is one of their terms used for mind control for when the WT must change and adapt to new laws and and cult objectives.

  The blood thing, for me is not important, there are blood substitutes available. -Lisa

  You have not done your research and seemingly you already gave the WT the option to sacrifice you and/or your children. Never mind the distorted Biblical base for it.

  FACT: NOTHING can substitute the oxygen carrying function of whole red blood cells. If you have a need for transfusion, no amount of fractions, blood substitutes and plasma expanders will prevent of you dieing of lack of oxygen to the brain.

  Remember, vaccines were evil, as aluminum, tissue transplants and blood fractions. If the WT speaks the truth, howcome they keep changing their mind? New light is a tool the WT uses to morph and adapt to changing legal & social situations. Truth has no expiration date.

  It's about focus, and endurance, and faith, hope, and love (of the purest kind). -Fred EH

  Focus - focusing on distorted bible interpretations? The WT focus on isolating the cult members from society and family, and convincing members to find Satan in every subject and object. Sure they focus, but on control through fear.

  Endurance - One certainly need endurance to put up with all repression, demands and implanted fears.

  Faith - Faith in God or on a profitable printing corporation?

  Love - WT's "love" is conditional and manipulative. You know it, Fred.
