  i started that here before the borg got on the bandwagon.. i remember calling convenience stores on the phone at 4am from this brother's house when it was raining out and none of us felt like doing anything..

  Discussion on the way out of convention

  sunday evening there were a group of sisters talking on their walk back to the carpark.

  "so if the generation just means that your life overlapped with people who were around in 1914, couldn't that just go on forever?".

  ""i guess...." (looked at each other confused, then at me as i walked past).. to which i said: "oh yes, remember the days when the generation was a simple 70 years from 1914?".

  JW's are taught not to use independant thinking, so when something as odd as the new light on the Generation is thrust upon them

  any doubts they may have is automatically shut down, because to think differently from the organization. is using independant thinking

  and that's a no no.

  Parents who can't see the truth about their kids

  just discovered that my nephew, whose parents are both dubs is the school bully.

  he was sent home for beating a kid up, he was also caught trying to steel a bike from a boy half his size.

  apparently it's because his teachers are "useless" and "he has to bully in case he becomes a victim".

  I keep opening my door every sat morning, and opening the blinds

  today, i was on yahoo and clicked on link for "unusual ways" to stay cool this summer.

  among the suggestions are putting your sheets in the freezer for one to two hours before bedtime and using an organic cotton pillow (is an organic cotton pillow cooler than 100% cotton regular pillow?

  Why should I have to sign a letter saying I want to disassociate ?

  i don't understand why the elders want this letter so badly ....for one i don't remember signing a contract to become a jehovah's witness ,why do i need to resign ?.

  also i was baptised in 1978 before the baptism questions changed , i dedicated myself to god not an organization .

  my vow was to follow the direction by holy spirit as revealed to me through the bible, not the watchtower ...... if i belonged to the luthern church and quit going after three yrs they drop your name off the member list ........but if i chose to come to easter or christmas service everyonre would still talk to me i just wouldn't be a member any more .. .
