  typically is there a limit to the number of disfellowships a person can receive before they're "out"?

  i'm specifically referring to my ex, who has a marriage/relationship that results in a babyx2.

  she just mentioned that it was harder to get back into good graces this last time.

  i guess they are not as organized as they think.

  this week alone, i had an invitation stuck in my door to the dc.

  in our area, and today two different car groups stop by, i didn't tell either one that i had gotten and invite already.

  cause that would have ruined my chance to question them on things in their reasoning book. oh BOY you should

  have seen the looks on their faces. And guess what ? they said their coming back to answer some of my questions

  that they couldn't answer today. OOOOOOh boy i can't WAIT. They thingk their gonna be doin' their preaching to

  me, but i'm planning on leaving them with a lot to think about

  and they can't say i'm persecuting them cause i'm doin' it with a smile

  how do you overcome this?

  i just got done reading isocf and toward the end ray warns against bitterness.

  i guess i just can't agree with that.

  these teens will no doubt face disfellowshipping or be reproved before adulthood

  and it will be for trying to live a normal life, because life in the org is not normal

  How do you deal with shunning ?

  my wife and i da'ed ourselves two years ago.

  she left because she felt there was no forward momentum in the congregation.. me: because i really started to notice the lack of love and concern amoungst "true christians".

  we have gotten to the point now where we will say hello to any jw's we run into, but the total avoidance thing is starting to get somewhat creepy to me.. example : my wife was in target several weeks ago, put her items on the belt and was getting ready to checkout.

  witnesses have a collective concern about bringing disgrace on the organization ( ro.

  what their extremism blinds them to, however, is the current manner in which they are bringing shame on jehovah and his organization.. they appear to be oblivious to the subtle way that the internet has changed society's view of advertising and the confirmation of what's true - and what isn't.. you see, people are so deluged with claims and counterclaims and 'spin' and hype, that they are reacting by elevating personal testimony and experience, especially if negative.

  car companies found out that, if a person gets a faulty car, they tell about 17 people of their misery.

  I can remember so many times while out in field service, while sitting in the car or van,

  how we would talk about how we couldn't wait for Jehovah to destroy the worldly people,

  and if we happened to be riding in an affluent neighborhood, we would talk about how we

  could pick and choose any of theses homes for ourselves, after they had all been destroyed.

  now i look back, and ask , why wait until someone die, to get what they have , why not

  live and enjoy this life now.

  sister just informed me that even though she went to the latest convention once already in one city she is going to ride with a friend to attend the 3rd.

  day of same convention in another city.

  because it was just so very interesting, with all the new lite and all.

  Remain Close to the Governing Body DC

  i just finished all 3 days of the dc and, for what it's worth, wanted to get down some of the highlights i enjoyed.

  i went with family and i only did it for them, and hope to never attend another assembly ever again.. .

  the whole thing was pretty boring and uncomfortable due to the stadium style seating which doesn't favour my long legs and ac being blasted too high.. .

  Studies in the Scriptures

  so for s&gs i started reading russells early works beginning today.

  i started with the 1886 "plan of the ages" book.

  already going through paragraph 1 i am seeing some huge signposts for what would happen later in the religion.. in his explanation of a beginning of an examination into the scriptures he says that there are only 2 ways open to us.
