@Neverknew- im sorry i should have been more clear, im talking like everyone knows the procedure... When the mags come to the hall they are supposed to be put on the counter so people can take "personal copies" to read and become framiler with. I hate that i know this and i hate that i assume everone else does too....sigh....

These little things just showed up at the hall... The are the most redicoulous little pieces of nonsense i have ever held. They feel exceedingly thin and the margins must be a foot wide on either side! Its almost as if they couldnt fill the reduced 16 pages and stretched it anyway they could. Think a high school stundent double spacing a term paper to fill it out. Its laughable that they think this is somehow appealing to people. Laughable.

Would this lie count as sin?
by Knowsnothing inhttp://edgeofcivilization.wordpress.com/2010/08/20/lies-and-politics/.
the story however starts years earlier when themistocles, a politician and general campaigned for money to build a stronger navy against a probable persian attack.
the athenians didnt believe him comfort, complacent and confident.

Unfortunatly one would have to understand the battle of thermopoly and the role the navy (under themostcles) played. Even though it was, technically, a loss it set the stage for the eventual victory of the greek city states and all that flowed from it. In fact, if one believes the bible, that victory was fulfillment of prophcy. Since that lie lead directly to the fillfilment of phrophcy it has gods approval, yes?

Romans was huge for me. Reading that absent jwndoctrine was a major eye opener for christianity. For reality genesis is a hoot.

Can a JWs Elder be "removed" if his wife is known as the congregation "gossip"?
by booker-t ini remember in my kingdom hall one of our 5 elders bro.
"smith" had a gossipy wife sis "smith" who would be known to gossip from the time she enter the hall until she left.
i don't know how she never was reproved or counseled for her gossiping.

In theory, sure he could be removed...
However, any elder who opens his mouth to critize another knows that he opens himself to the same. Its very much a good ole boy network in that sense

Faith... and Trust: The Same Things?
by AGuest inin a discussion with some other dear ones, the question was asked as to what such ones put their faith in.
in response to one comment that"one can't function without faith," another disagreed, stating ones can, that "many do so every day... the ones who have trust" (in things like the sun rising in the east versus the west).
that trust extended to "faith" based "on nature and the natural order of things.

Admitedly ang, that was provacative on purpose. I have pm'd several times to ask what line i crossed to have my post count limited and havent recieved a response. In the absence of a even a brief explanation showing what post crossed the line im left to draw my own conclusions.
Im not asking you to have this discussion in public but a pm showing where i sinned would be greatly appreciated and allow me to have some guidance future posts.

The fact that (EE) did, was up to (him), and I agree that (he) shouldn't be expected to keep a higher standard, (he's) human and insults offend, just as Outlaw said. If you'd left it there it may or may not have been brought to a conclusion between the two of them. By rushing in to tackle (ee) you took a side, in effect, when it really wasnt needed. It detracted from Angharad's points too. Then the rest joined in. Unnecessary in my view, but sadly I repeat, totally predictable.
Does that srill ring true for you loz, or only when it suits you?

Im quiet sure id be DF'd without a moments heaitation. Obviously im here as a wt spy. Im here because the branch is terrified of aguest and im here to ruin her before she draws valuable congregation members away. The governing body meets with me once a week about this.
