My favorite meeting ever was when they announced that my husband was no longer a elder. So many people came up to me and were so happy he was removed. He walked out of the hall with his tail between his legs. I also had another favorite meeting, it was my last. I went up to a sister who caused alot of problems for my family with her big mouth, thanked her for destroying my family, almost knocked her on her ass, told my daughter to leave the shit books on her chair and we walked out. When I got in my car I floored the gas, kicked up so much gravel I probably ruined a few cars. We turned the radio on as loud as we could and sang all the way home. My son was about 9 and he was jumping in the back seat. We stayed up most of the night laughing and throwing dad's books in the trash. I let them skip school the next day.

What Don't You Like About Jehovah's Witnesses?
by minimus inyup, this is a negative thread.. there are a lot of things but i'll start with one.. jws believe god will destroy 99.9% of the world simply because they aren't witnesses.
this view produces the "i am better than you" attitude because they get to live forever and you will die forever.
(not a nice religion)..

Can You Reach Out to an Unbelieving Mate? - KM November 2010
by jgnat injust wondering, for other "unbelieving mates" who visit this site, how many of you fielded spousal interference this week?
for those of you who don't keep up on wt news any more, the november issue of the kingdom ministry contained the above titled article, with a few "helpful suggestions".
i give credit to my hubby that he respected my stand before and after the meeting, even as he harbored a faint hope that the sainted words of the kingdom ministry would reach out and knock me to my "senses".. in summary, the "suggestions" include patience, don't bring up religious arguments, show through your actions and friendliness that the "unbelieving mate"'s prejudices are unfounded, and if all else fails, get them when facing health problems or other crises.. the worst i fielded was directly after the meeting, when hubby asked me what it would take to join the watchtower society.

Didn't work in my house. Husband came home from meeting with the same attitude. I wonder if he is in some kind of trouble at the hall. I know he isn't allowed to pray, the only priviledge he has left is being a attendant once a month. He told me awhile ago that the elders would never come to the house because I had the truth and left 25 years ago. So much for reaching out to an unbelieving mate

Jehovahs Witness Spouses
by Spade in.
i seriously doubt there's anyone with a spouse that's a jehovah's witness here.
but if so, how do you absorb all the hateful rhetoric disseminated here without spitting it back in your spouses face?.

Thank you Ding and Magwitch. This site keeps me sane, if I did not have my 88 year old mother with me I would be long gone. I sometimes wish I could turn back time I would have never taken him back. This man has put me thru HELL and when he gets to the hall he is one of the good old boys. I don't even know how he goes in service. All he is to the KH is two pieces of paper 1 his time slip and the 2nd of course is his monthly check. What a waste of life.

My husband is a witness and life is hell. He lies to me all the time and treats me like shit. I'm not on his patient advocate card nor on his blood card and only found out about this about 6 months ago. He doesn't trust me and told me he resents me because he was removed as a elder in 1984. Married 44 years and this is how I live now. If I only knew how he felt about me I would have divorced in 1984. The elders at his hall know what is going on and he has lost alot of his priviledges, I almost think his seat is getting closer to the door. He gives me no money and I am not allowed to know what is in the bank, checking or savings. My name is only on the accounts for legal reasons. His whole life is the organization. I sleep in the basement and have for almost two years. If he doesn't trust me I will never lay in a bed next to him. 64 years old and I still work and collect social security. I have to buy all the food and take care of my own needs. So much for those loving JW's.

Welcome to my home, now let me tell you what a jerk my husband is, he is a liar, and doesn't support me. Then I will throw my big bag of bills I have kept for the last two years on the kitchen table and ask them to explain why he doesn't support me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My husband gives a nice check every month. I never gave them a dime of my money,I had to buy food for my children. Tired of giving for CO new cars when my kids were wearing second hand clothes and we were just getting by with food and house payments. I know the CO gets a nice green handshake from my husband and yet I don't get a dime from his for food, clothes and other expenses. Just this week the CO's wife had a special list of foods she likes and he got a copy. This broad will only eat special foods like brown eggs (4.19 per dozen) special chicken not fried or BBQ, baby bottles of water, turkey, steak (must be soft) only apple juice or cranapple, frozen spinach, it goes on forever. She also put what she doesn't like on the list. Sure enough my husband purchased food for her, yet nothing for our house. THIS IS REALLY SICK. They need to give up off their rumps and get jobs. Why put this expense on other people. And get this they wanted enough food so that they would have plenty of leftovers.

My husband told me he would have a new wife and a city full of kids in paradise earth. I will never forget that as long as I live and when he told me that I was holding my baby girl in my arms. She is now in her 40's and I have a son in his 30's and still no paradise earth. What a hateful thing to say.
