Being on the west coast I notice that just as I'm getting into a thread it dies down, because the east coaster's have gone to bed.

Let's get in on the Comments section for that article, spread some "truth" about the JWs. Such as their highest turnover rate, or the least educated, etc.
Thanks for the link StoneWall...here it is again:

The Sun is Alive and Exerts Power
by sabastious intell me if i am crazy, but i think the human race is ignoring something extremly simple.
when we go outside on a cloudless day... we all seem to ignore the giant burning ball in the sky.. think about it.. the sun truly is the bringer of all earthen life; without it's effects we would all perish.
did you know we have never sent a probe to the sun?

I don't believe we have out grown sun worship, I think it just took on a different form.

It has already been said, but I agree. The mystery and power of the sun for early humans gave birth to the roots of "religion".
Worshipping the sun makes complete sense when you understand early humans had no damn clue what it was. But they intrinsically knew their lives depended on it. The night sucked, but the sun was great!

For example if you can go on believeing in a global flood you are obvioulsy unaware of the weight of unassailable evidence against it.
For this reason I find it difficult to even bother trying to convince someone who believes in a global flood otherwise. IF they want to believe it, they're not going to accept logic. It's like trying to convince someone gravity is real, or that earth is not flat. Just seems pointless. They believe because they WANT to believe. Don't want to let go of their brain blanket.
