Hey oompa....ah geez man, I've been there and know the feeling. I remember it was a Sunday when my JW ex-wife packed up some things and went to live with her parents. That night was a long one and it felt like my heart had been ripped from my chest. Similar situation...I stopped going to meetings, we grew apart, she had her world and I had mine. Eventually the religion was a like a Berlin Wall in our relationship. Our split and divorce was amicable but was such a painful time to lose a good friend. She was, and is, a great person but we were going in different directions. Everyone's situation is different and I know some can make it work but it wasn't to be for us.
That was 7 years ago, I'm now remarried and living the life I want and so is she. So for us it worked out for the better. The pain goes away. It does get better. Keep your chin up, bud.
