  Where did God live before he created the heavens?

  i used to assume that that the heavens mentioned in genesis 1:1 are just the universe.

  however, i have learned since then that the bible refers to at least three different heavens.

  (for example, paul speaks of a third heaven.

  after reading the thread about remote viewing, let's make some predictions for the next 5 - 10 years and see how many we get right.

  it's been quite a week for congressman weiner in the united states.

  that was funny enough.

  we also had some of the hottest weather in many areas for a couple of days.. but the weekend is upon us and many jwn people need their own laughs.

  i fondly remember my teenage days as a jw--back in the 1960's.. circuit assemblies-in birmingham, england uk.

  after the sunday afternoon god-fest there was usually a party--somewhere--in the evening.. one of the lads--his parents were care-takers (janitors?

  ) of an office block in the city centre.

  the party's i referrred to were on the "mods & rockers era"--beatles & rolling stones music.

  i dont think our parents thought their teenage JW kids were capable of enjoying themselves---how wrong they were.

  sometimes fights broke out--usually over a girl. mostly it was teenage rebellion--taken that stage further by rebelling against the religion's stranglehold.

  in more recent years ive heard of "get out of the truth" party's---now they DO sound interesting.

  circuit assemblies-in Birmingham, England UK. after the sunday afternoon god-fest there was usually a party--somewhere--in the evening.

  one of the lads--his parents were care-takers (janitors?) of an office block in the city centre. his dad was never a dub--his mom was. we had a collection to get enough money so the old man could take mom out for the evening. word went around there would be a party at **** place after the assembly. they were always a riot. booze, smoking--even dope. lots of "party-games"--involving losing clothing--& couples paring off. sex was not uncommon.

  afterwards, occasionally, word would get back to someones parents--then all hell would break out.

  happy days. innocent--untill proven guilty.

  growing up as a jw, you see the world differently than most everyone else.

  you see the world as something that is going to end very soon.

  all that we know will be gone by the time we're adults.. when we were young, we were living in the last days and were expecting armageddon before we grew old.

  yes its easy to look back with bitterness at all those wasted years--i'm lucky --i got totally out of it over half my life ago. how you guys who have only recently left--or god forbid--are STILL IN--must feel--i dont want to imagine.

  my strange neighbor

  a neighbor four doors south of me.

  the night before our trash pick up he send his sons out (20-30 year old) with their trash and fill up the neighbors trash cans.

  i was speechless when my next door neighbor told me this.
