  some people feel they need a religion, and need to attend a church.

  if such a person starts questioning the watchtower and they asked you "where else to go?

  ", what would you recommend?.

  Got my own wine kit from a local brew shop...

  took me four hours to take the grapes off the stems.

  had about 25 lbs from my vine (white grapes).

  ive made 100's of gallons over the years---heres a real easy way:

  1 litre carton of apple juice---or any pale juice

  i kilo white sugar

  yeast

  yeast nutrient

  citric acid

  dissolve sugar in a pint of boiling water--add fruit juice--top up with cold water to 1 gallon---

  when cooled down--say 70 f --add yeast /nutrient/citric---all in a gallon demi.-john---fit airlock

  stir/shake regularly

  after about 6 weeks when wine has cleared--drink it----about 14% proof--if dry.990.

  the lack of intellectually stimulating material within the jw religion right now is astounding.

  there is clearly a lack of spiritually dense material and a surplus of ridiculous, childish babble.

  the regular "food" that jws are being fed is illustratively equivalent to pureed baby food.

  Logical Questions to Make Them Think?

  this has no doubt been covered before and if anyone has any favourite threads on this subject perhaps they could post them here .

  what are your best one liners/questions to make jw's think?.

  i had a heated conversation with my mum this weekend and apart from mainly going round in circles (as is often the case with brainwashed cult members) one thing made her stop and i could see that she was having major trouble processing the logic.

  "are you 100% convinced everything the watchtower society teaches is correct" ?

  or

  "are there any WT teachings you dont fully understand?--perhaps i can help you with that?"

  Lets make up are own saying in comparison to the WTS " Its just around the corner "

  has been coming up with different sayings to imply that armageddon is just around the corner.. so i thought it would be fun to make up are own sayings and see what we come up with.. i'll start off...... the train is just about to pull into the station.. that egg is just about to hatch .

  the weather forecast for today is death and destruction .

  What is the most offensive/idiotic piece of WT literature you've read from the past 20 years (approximately)?

  i think that some of the dumbest were ones that pertained to science- not all of them, but a few, particularly the ones about evolution.

  the most offensive (and also dumbest) were the ones about women, and the ones about rape.

  those were horrible.

  I hate JW jargon!!! (Alternatives please!)

  all of us who have any ties to the jws know that they have their own vernacular, their own slang.

  sure, there are formal titles that we can't really get away from: pioneer, ministerial servant, elder, ______ overseer, governing body, the (watchtower) society, etc.

  but there are plenty of other bits of parlance they use that i can do without.... for example:.

  we went out on field service--no--not farming --but door-knocking----it was called "the EFFORT"---

  ---then it became "the RENDEZVOUS FOR SERVICE"

  for krice sake.
