what a moving post---if only a few jw kids can get to read it.
thank you for your work

i have been giving a lot of thought to the young people who are leaving the watchtower organization in recent years.
last night, i was reading the thread posted by jwfacts a while back in which he provided some statistics and graphs showing the rapidly declining growth in the watchtower.
one factor that was discussed at length was the high number of young people who do not stay in the organization.
what a moving post---if only a few jw kids can get to read it.
thank you for your work

hopefully this will get a good response because i love jokes, especially ones about the wt or jw's!.
ill start it off.. .
how do we know there are no female angels in heaven?.
these jokes are very good--i havent read them for years.
..when you got baptised, and when you discovered the truth about the truth?.
me: 20 and 27.
baptised at 14 --to please my old mom--dad got dipped too
at 23 ( 1971 ) i knew i could never go through with the "no blood" thing--and the whole pack of cards came tumbling down
if you are a non-jw married to a jw, how do you deal with those times during the week when he or she slips out for several hours with bookbag in hand, going door to door?
your spouse is out there actively recruiting for the watchtower - do you have a problem with that?
do you ask your spouse if he/she is up front with the prospective convert?
if my wife went out proselytising---would i be living off immoral earnings?
youve cancelled your membership of that club for misfits----theyve had enough of your time and money---you owe them NOTHING.
now relax --enjoy life & all it has to offer---take your pick.
i'm quite new to this site, and i've noticed that many of you are more than happy to call yourselves "apostates", even though many of you evidently believe in the bible and in jesus as saviour, etc.. i'm aware that the society brands anyone who disagrees with them as being an "apostate", but just because they choose to do this, does this mean we should be comfortable with being so branded?
should we "bend over" and take it?.
here is what the insight book says on apostasy:.
yep--i was branded apostate by the congregation i had attended---in 1981--i wasnt there--& i had no idea what it meant when i found out--none of them had the courtesy to tell me to my face--or write to me.
still if it means i am publicly recognised as NOT being a jw ( lower case deliberate )---then its fine by me.
i know that most of us here despise the witness religion.
are you soured on all all religions?.
not at all--i'm an alcoholic---& i worship regularly.
so, i get a migraine a few times a year.
i usually take some advil and i'm fine.. but, this past month, i've had about 4 migraines.
one is coming on right now, and i'm about to take an advil.
i suffered terrible migraines in my teens & early 20's---real horrors--often each week
a friends mum suggested i try this
an inhaler--ergotamine---this was made by riker labs--in the early 70's
its was nothing short of a miracle. stops headache--dead--although you may feel nauseous for a while.
after a few years they stopped completely--for many years--although these days i do get them occasionally--just the eyesight pyrotechnics--but no headaches ---- havent used ergotamine in 25 years now.
try it if your plagued by them--here in the UK they are prescription only ( or were )
oh--& i also realised i was an atheist about the same time, i wonder--------
i met the lovely mummatron 2 weeks ago and had a fab day x. tomorrow, cantleave and nugget are travelling down with their kids and stopping off to say hi for a few hours before continuing through wales!.
im making a huge lasagne, and have got the beers and vino in.......so excited!.
will be great putting faces to the name, and im glad that at long last, i seem to be able to step out of my little world and make friends.. have got my smurf hanging outside the door so they know my house............. feels like an early christmas present, happy days!
Nugget is lovely---but i dont think they will allow Cantleave across the Severn bridge.
