What being cheap costs us.. Fatal accident involving bus full of JWs
by pubtruth inthis happened about last week here in florida.
a bus carrying 32 jehovah's witnesses driven by a hired bus driver got lost on the way to west palm beach and crashed at the entrance of miami int'l airport.
dozens were injured and 2 passed away.

Pronouncing it RIGHT
by Christ Alone inwhat rules do you follow when pronouncing foreign names/places/things?
i was remembering that when we were studying the daniel book for the book study back in the day, someone released a pronunciation guide.
i remember studying it closely so i could pronounce all the names right (especially on the section of daniel 11).

uk ex jw--i know those places well.
back in my "day"--birmingham UK--mid 60's--was divided into 3 circuits. us lads used to cruise all 3 looking for talent. i met 1 at brierley hill civic hall--we went for a walk down a lane during a break---and she ate my face off. in the week following she wrote me a very naughty love letter--i was just about 16.
next weekend--an assembly in coventry--on the by-pass?--i walked in with some mates--saw her--all cuddled up with another guy. i never said a word--he was bigger than me!! she went on to earn quite a reputation--as an easy ride. but i dipped out there.

mother rejects her son
by Aussie Oz inhad a phone call from my son today.... he rang his jw mother to give her some news and found out the school his little half siblings go to was having an end of year play.
he was pretty excited apparently and asked if he could come along and this is how it went.... "no, it is for family.
for our family not for children who never speak or visit us.".

Oz--a similar thing is happening to my family. My1st jw (ex) wife is now shunnung our older son--hes now 36--d'f'd a couple of years back---and living with his fiancee--a lovely woman who is so supportive and understanding.
his jw (ex) wife has now prevented him seeing his 2 kids--although he has joint custody & spent thousands on legal fees. ( a case of history repeating itself )
ironicaly--his ex--and his mum--dont get on at all--in spite of living close by and attending the same kingdom hell. cant have 2 witches in the same coven!
he is so much better off being well out of it. he has a good job--earns good money and enjoys foreign holidays.
i'm so relieved hes out and happy--i was prevented fron seeing him for 25 years--but we are building bridges now,
now--for my other 2---------------

Stronger Christian presence on JWN?
by Christ Alone ini've only been a member here for a short time, but it seems like there are more christians on the board lately.
for the first few months that i was on jwn, it appeared that there were very few that argued in favor of a creator and belief in the bible in particular.
there seems to be several more that have recently joined...or at least posted more regularly regarding belief.

i'm a hard and fast atheist--but i do believe in free speech. i'm quite happy that christians, aliens, muslims, shites or whatever say their bit on here.
i never bother with posts that quote loads of bible passages--no point--its a foreign language to me.
but any post that helps expose this vile cult for what it is gets my undivided attention.
