i really hope armageddon comes soon---to prove the watchtower society was right all along.
then we can all go home.
it was really quite amusing 2day at the meeting when we got to the "this generation will not pass away" subheading in the wt.
the conductor spent very little time on the section and the comments that were given didnt at all make sense really.
you can tell its not understood by the majority of the friendsand will go over there heads, i was trying not to laugh lol.

as one of the jw "young ones" i was always expected to witness to my friends at school if i wanted to make god's heart glad or whatever but i didn't.
the closest i ever got was just explaining why we didn't celebrate christmasetc.
even then i was just reciting things i read in publications.. one topic i always tried to avoid talking about was birthdays.
i rarely ever met anyone on the door to door work who was remotely interested enough to start a debate. just as well really--i hadnt much idea of what i believed.
if asked by someone why i didnt celebrate xmas/bdays etc--i just replied "its my religion"---that used to shut them up.
very few people in the UK could give a toss about religion---they are far more interested in football.
i'm sitting here at the mtg, and i can't believe the mind numbing stupidity of this weeks wt "study"...( i use the word study loosely too by the way...).
how many dumb repeated questions can be posed to try and make a point?.
the opening paragraph illustration re blindness is classic!
i cant believe this thread---are some of you guys REALLY posting from inside a kingdumb hall--???? ha ha--nooo--i its just not happening
i would love to know where most of our fellow forum members are from.... is there a way to compile a quick list?.
for example, i would love to know how many live near me......
i'm in the UK--living on the isle of wight. i know of 2 other members who post on here are also from the I o Wight.
heres a link to some other UK members:

hello everybody, before i begin i just wanna say that i have really found alot of great posts on here that have been helpful forme , theres definitely alot of brilliant people here!.
i am a born in jw(24 years old) ive been baptized for 7 years and was a ministerial servant for 4 years(i am no longer one).
recently me and my parents have have woken up to ttatt(about 2 months ago).
she says for you to take a break--good advice--take it.
like you--i was a M/S in my late teens--and a pioneer--both done to impress the born-in i was courting. we married when i was 20 ( 1968 ). i quit the cult 4 years later--when my daughter was on the way.
we went on to have 2 more sons---but my wife was never happy--she wanted me back in her small religious world. we grew further apart. finally--after 13 years of marriage--i gave her grounds for a scriptural divorce---which she grabbed and went for it as soon as possible.
within a few years--she had completely turned my kids against me--and i had no contact with them for the next 25 years. my ex--and 2 of my kids are still in the cult---one son has quit and he and i are now back in a good relationship.
i'm sure i'm merely one of 000's in the same situation------is that what you want ?
and did you always seem to get caught?.
my daughter told me that all her teenage friends used to smoke tobacco, pot, do drugs, get drunk and "misbehave" with other kids all the time..
twickers--yeah--back in the 60's---large camping sites. but the best i remember was edinburgh--about 1966?. most of us lads camped at a recreation ground hired for the purpose. many of us were drunk most of the time.
i recall a line of us standing on a bridge over the main railway line beneath edinburgh castle-----urinating on a train running beneath us. this was after a very wet lunch. a fine witness lol
hey everyone i'm new here.
i'm not baptised but i've been qoute on qoute 'studying' for the past 4-5 years.
i'm almost 20. i've been lurking and i've seen a lot of posts about elderettes.
most elders are simply puppets. the elderette wife has her arm up his arse moving his head and mouth
i was looking through a watchtower publication that i bought recently, and found this quote about children & armageddon:.
our theme "rearing children in divine favor" does not refer to the rearing of the children of armageddon survivors in that new world when all surrounding conditions and all forces in operation will be toward helping those who live to do righteousness.
no; but it refers to rearing children who are born now before the battle of armageddon.
i'm still waiting for gods enemies to be gathered together in that valley of megiddo.
or--is that figurative too ?
but their views on blood are just plain weird!
meat has blood in it even if it's bled.
still eating meat means consuming blood.
one major teaching that never sat right with me was---the 7000 year creative day.
err--what -?----you may well ask if you are comparatively new to the cult.
that's a tough one.
every man between 18-40 years of.
age have broke that law.
yep
good innit
