by lurkernomore ini thought it was high time to introduce myself (without my name of course).
as my name would suggest i have been reading your intriguing post, thoughts and discussions for some time now.
around 3/4 months to be exact.. i guess to start with it would seem fitting to give a little background on my current situation.. i'm a born-in, but have over the last few years found that through a number of varying occurences, (some of which i may discuss in future posts) that my 'zeal' has gone from regular field service and meetings to no service in over a year and very sporadic meeting attendance.

thinking of leaving
by justme67 ini am 46 and have been a jw for only 6 years.
i was doing ok until about a month ago.
we were having an international convention and i heard the brother that had to pick up 2 of the members of the governing body had to get a background check done on him and his wife.

yes--simply dont go anymore--leave it behind and move on. no need to play by cult rules---its just a tiny sect in a huge sea of different religions. if you still need religion--find one thats easier to live with.
in the event you get someone round to check up on you--just say no thanks---end of.

INSTAGRAM "greatest month of witnessing" etc...
by stuckinarut2 inoh wow!....
i have seen some really pathetic instagram posts today..... so many have posted pictures of "all of us out in service in the greatest month of witnessing ever camapign"..... there are slide shows, with snapshots of old and very young in service handing out leaflets etc... it is really quite sad to see the hype building up!.
anyone else seen such things?.

PEER PRESSURE!!! I gave in to Pioneering during August...I feel dirty...
by stuckinarut2 inok, i'll admit it...i am weak.... as everyone knows, the pressure to "pioneer" during "the most momentous, awesome, amazing, centenary anniversay of jesus invisble kigdom rule, & distribute tracts about a dodgy website" campaign is very strong at the moment.... also, many will have read my threads about the extreme views and expectations in our cong for "all appointed men to pioneer" etc..... every elder and ms and their families have been announced as pioneering....i mean everyone's name was read out except mine..... i was not going to do it, as i do not believe anyone should be forced...(and of course its the last thing on earth i would rather do anyway since learning ttatt).
but i am not quite ready to make the break yet, so i realised that i would stand out more if i didnt put in a form to pioneer.
yes it would make me more conspicious, and make fading harder to do...it would bring more heat on me if i didnt pioneer.. so i gave in and submitted a form.... now, of course, i'm only going to make sure i'm seen at the key field service groups etc...but then go and do something more interesting...like count blades of grass..... ahh....i feel hypocritical to myself now......

i take a different view.
by all means pioneer in august--or any month for that matter. dont cheat--really make every minute count door knocking and witnessing to as many people as possible. report your hours accurately.
i guarantee it will make your fade so much faster.

Does anyone live by any Bible stuff?
by punkofnice inthis is not meant to be a slag off the bible thread.. i had a question asked me the other day and it was: 'do you live by anything from the bible?'.
i had to think about that one because i was force grown in the filthy, disgusting cult of the paedophile loving watchtower(r).. you know what?
i really don't know if i just naturally am a great bloke or if any 'nice' bits in the bible influenced me......or has western culture been influenced by the bible for good and bad?.

Just got off the elevator with Anthony Morris
by kneehighmiah inat the international convention here i just got off the elevator with anthony morris.
he was heading to the basement and i was heading up to administration.
i rode one floor down with him before i went up to my destination.

luckily--ive been out of that cult since before '75---so i havent a clue who this morris guy is.
