i can't verify this online but a catholic told me the churches all had a liturgy on how bad gay marriage is and handed out a flyer to remind all members specifically what the church's position was on it.
as if a reminder was needed.. now, call me opinionated, but sheesh.

she attended a local club for her company's celebration party.. they were saluting her for doing an outstanding job.. she wore a pretty little black dress and those heels again.

i have a jw nephew in another state who was at very the top of his high school senior class this year.
because of this, my sister (an elder's wife) had planned and sent out invitations to his "graduation party" which would be held at a community center with all the bells and whistles.
i actually bought plane tickets for my wife and i to attend this party immediately after receiving the invitation in the mail.
That is absolute craziness, absurd. I cannot STAND how back stabbing and petty a lot of the witnesses can be. All for 'protecting god and his so called organization.'
I've heard so many stories I could write a book ( I think I will write a book).

this has already been discussed but i need to vent.. i just spent the most painful weekend of my life sitting thru this years dc.
what an unbelievably pointless, soulless and demeaning spectacle the assemblies are.
the three days were a blur of monotanous droning and brainwashing.
i purchased (this week) a copy of the autobiography of this man.
he wrote the book himself, telling his version of the events of his life, work and church.
i think it will be very enlightening to hear a cult leader express his views, attempting to justify his work and beliefs.
....whenever i hear a news story about jw's, and when the news reporter refers to a kingdom hall as a chruch...too funny!!!.
