So I Went back to my old Kingdom Hall Today...
by cofty in...because it's now an art gallery.. it was really strange to have a look around the building and see what they have done with it.
a lot of the old kh features are still there.
they have kept the old platform, it gets used as a music venue on occasions.. i went up on the platform and faced the hall to bring back memories of the hundreds of times i stood there giving talks.. they have quite a few of the old chairs and the magazine/literature counter is still there but it has been moved beside the stage and painted.. all those huge windows have been restored and the place is full of light.. you can see a lot of pictures at their website, they have called it "the berwick watchtower".. the owner asked my wife and i if it was our first visit - hahaha.

Looks like a place where pioneers and publishers got spanked with a horsewhip for not handing in their time...physically or mentally.

by Lozhasleft ini've just had the official results on my pgce.
i'm not posting here to boast, but to encourage any who may have abandoned education because of the pressure as a jw, and who may feel that it's too late to return and achieve such goals.
in the 1980s i stopped halfway through my b.ed honours and accepted a dip.h.e.

Was thinking about this yesterday on the 4th? Due to the practices, no voting, shunning activities, not getting involved with the community, school, etc, etc. What do you guys think? My brother dislikes President Obama and says he and the rest of the gov't is ran by satan. When I told my parents I vote on a regular basis, they laughed at me, (seriously). Jehovahs Witnesses are the last people that need to be laughing at anymore. In a nutshell, do you guys think that being so anti american is harmful.

I feel like I'm prejudiced sometimes...
by cognac inand it makes me sick.
i mean, i watch this big, black woman on youtube sing with this incredible voice and all i think is sadness cause i feel like she abuses her kids.
that's so awful.

Yeah I'm black and I think everyone has a degree of prejudice in them. No one is exempt from it. Of course the watchtower teaches that 'everyone is the same, and that Jehovahs Witnesses are all the same.' Thats a bunch of BS.
