My mom and aunt was talking about this. You woulda thought that Jehovah himself came down from the heavens and gave a public talk. Aunt was talking about how the governing body is so 'down to earth.' Whatever that means.

What Was Your First Experience In Exposing Yourself To "Apostasy"?
by minimus inas a young teenager, i would look at "apostate" books at the city library.
i was always intrigued as to what was sooo bad and other than a few writings of some that seemed like they hated the witnesses, i would clandestinely look at literature, especially in "christian" bookstores.. it took years for me to finally disconnect.
i will say that ray franz' books enlightened me the most!.

I ran across this website called 'Watch the tower' my first year in college. OMG, I was so scared. I quickly clicked off of it. I thought it was ran by satan himself. Now when I look back on it I just laugh.

That is very very sexist. I dont understand how any woman could stay in this religion. Only men can go to heaven?

JESUS' 100th ANNIVERSARY on the throne... Only (1) ONE MORE YEAR TO GO...
by Calebs Airplane ini wonder how many jws have realized that yesterday was the 99th anniversary of jesus' rulership.... what of our time?
on friday morning, october 2, 1914, charles taze russell, who took the lead at that time among the bible students, strode into the dining room at bethel in brooklyn, new york.
good morning, all, he said cheerily.

Annual Meeting Instructions to MS / Elders
by jw07 inhave any elders or ministerial servants here recieved any specific instructions regarding the annual meeting?
as an ms all i have been told to do is to arrive early to "await further instruction due to the sensitive nature of my assignment".

People have a right to preserve their culture race and identity!!!
by Joliette inone of the biggest things that bothered me as a jehovahs witness was the whole 'we are the world' bullcrap that they used to teach, and that culture, color, and race didnt matter.
as far as i'm concerned thats a bunch of bs.
people have a right to preserve who they, where they came from, and they have a right to be represented.

One of the biggest things that bothered me as a Jehovahs Witness was the whole 'We are the world' Bullcrap that they used to teach, and that culture, color, and race didnt matter. As far as I'm concerned thats a bunch of BS. People have a right to preserve who they, where they came from, and they have a right to be represented. All of this color blind BS is why so many Ex Jehovahs Witness had a problem dealing with people out in the world, after they have left a this harmful cult. Not saying the people of other colors and cultures shouldnt get along, because we should. However, I am not going along with the whole we are one crap the media has been forcing down out throats for the last 40 years. Thats a bunch of BS. Growing up as a J-dub, we were always taught that prejudice was wrong, and i do agree. If a person is effected by the prejuidce of someone else, it is wrong with a captial W. However, it is not fair that I was taught by the watchtower to be a passive interrgationist. Should a person's life be in danger because of another's persons feelings, and how they feel? No. But what I am saying is that people have a right to preserve. Thats all I'm saying.
