Online Bible Study! Yes they finally did it!

since the org discovered the internet i saw that one day they would release an online bible study so the people didn't need the witnesses to be indoctrinated by the gb.

i have to admit that i didn't think they would do it now, without a great cerimony or announcement, but, hey, it's on!.

4 people were hurt by the dog ... 2 were jws.

the older woman was severely hurt.

i hope the old woman survives.

I almost got attacked by a dog out in field service one time. I never had a strong desire to go out in field service anyways.

rummaging through old boxes i happened upon a poem i wrote in 1983 about (of all things) the history of christianity!yipes!i don't know that it is worth the effort of transcribing...but--how could i deprive you all of such a strange poem, eh?_______christianity?________.

in the beginning, the pagans were winningthe romans were fomenting blame,christians were tested in being arrested entirely because of their "name.".

when rome was set burning, 'twas nero whose churningout rumors brought christians alarmsoon fed to the lions and even while dyingwould not recant braving such harm!.

me and my brother recently got into a discussion about the 1,000 reign.

i told him that even after armageddon, you know that you still have to work for your salvation??

he says yes, that he is prepared to work for jehovah (wth), and that it will be a wonderful time.

@ Finklestein: He doesnt believe that its mythology or that its symbolic, he believe that its literally going to happen.

Me and my brother recently got into a discussion about the 1,000 reign. I told him that even after Armageddon, you know that you still have to work for your salvation?? He says yes, that he is prepared to work for Jehovah (WTH), and that it will be a wonderful time. Life during the 1,000 reign never sounded appealing to me even as a kid, it sounded scary! I encourage my brother to do more research into the 1,000 reign, but he's not a big reader. He only goes off what the brothers have said from the stage.

Has the Governing Body EVER apologized for anything?

geoffrey jackson testified to the arc that the governing body has apologized for things in the past, so an apology to sexual abuse victims is "perceivable".

what has the governing body ever apologized for?.

22 q. just on that point, mr jackson, has the governing body23 considered apologising to survivors of child sexual abuse24 at the hands of elders within the organisation?25 a. i haven't been in any discussions with regard to that.26 27 q. is that something that you foresee might happen ‐ in 28 other words, that an apology at least be considered?29 a. the governing body has apologised on other matters, so30 for me to say ‐ i can't speak collectively for everybody, 31 but we have apologised on things in the past, in other32 areas, so it is perceivable.. .
