If I'm not mistaken, werent the committee of brothers who translated this bible: Nathan Knorr, Albert Scheoder, George Gangas, Fredrick Franz. Wasnt Fredrick Franz the only scholarly person (or somewhat scholarly) person who was 'somewhat qualified' to translate any type of biblical greek, hebrew, etc?

Brotherdan...I'm single so its a little more 'easier' for me to leave. How long have you been married, and how old are your children. I know it must hard going to meetings especially when you simply dont believe in it anymore. Yeah, I know a lot of people are in high positions, and they dont believe, its a matter of going along with it. Its tragic, but I hope that people will see the error of there ways.

the questions just keep rolling.... when i told my parents that a great crowd is mentioned as being in heaven.
i also mentioned to them how paradise isnt mentioned in revelations.

Elderelite...its really crazy, you sit there in the meetings, and sometimes I feel like Judas. I just cant believe what I'm actually hearing now from the brothers and sisters mouth. This one sister gave a comment like 'We dont need worldly education and scholarly people to help us understand the bible, we know MORE than them.' But in my mind, I'm saying, buuuuut your following a corperation bible. LOL

When I told my parents that a great crowd is mentioned as being in heaven. I also mentioned to them how paradise isnt mentioned in revelations. My parents said there is a difference between 'The Great Crowd' (the other sheep) and 'A Great Crowd' (angels). They also said that 'A New Earth' pretty much says to them that 'A new earth' is 'Paradise'. I said where does it indicate in the bible where the earth is going to cleaned up by the great crowd? My mom told me to stop asking silly questions and just read the bible.

by Joliette ini'm in the dawn of my research, and the #1 thing that i am trying to do, is separate the bible from the watchtower and bible and track society.. me and my dad got into a dicussion, and he said that the witnesses are only doing what the bible says.
he said to read the bible (especially the new testament) and it would all come clear to me, why jehovah's witnesses are the truth.
i said 'then what about all of the misleading, and predictions that never came true?
