The craziest thing is that when I bring up the faithful and discreet slave, my parents will say that in no way shape form or fashion do we worship the faithful and discreet slave we worship Jehovah, we dont worship the watchtower. My parents and brother are brainwashed.

I make a vow 2015 will be my last DC to attend ever !!!
by 5go ineven then it will be just be a sunday to see if the fall off come true, or not.. heck this year and next will probally just enough to make it look like i showed up for it.
thankfully i live around the city it's held in i so it's not a huge sacrafice..

I'll be 69 by then (I was born in 1983). I think there is a good chance that I might still be around. I still want to plan for my future no matter what. One of the biggest mistakes that I made growing up (going to school) is that I assumed that the world was gonna end by 2000, and I didnt plan. I am now 30, no spouse or children, and I wish I had of planned more when I was 18. So I know for a fact that planning is important.

I dont think that will happen. I think more people are going to leave, but no large revolt. Probably more scandals. But no wt revolt. Like DD said, people are just too brainwashed to leave that religion. Sadly I believe the watchower will always exist. Its our job to educate the public and to let people know this religion is a harmful religious cult and they make themselves out to be innocent, but they are not. Oh and probably more child abuse exposure but thats about it.

actually he committed manslaughter, he killed another guy in a bar fight.
i think he served 15 years in prison.

I know a guy who was a drug dealer who became a witness. I also know a guy who was a witness who murdered his baby momma. Yeah so I've seen it both ways. But if you read the watchtower they only feature the stories of people who were criminals who came to Jehovah and turned their lives around.

for instance i already mentioned the late 70's to early 80's segregation in the kingdom halls, but in the 90's clear through to now for instance:.
at bethel in the mid 90's if you listened to or were found with rap music you were gone, no questions asked.
