Wouldn't the predators on the ark have eaten everything by the time the 40 days was over?
by highdose inlet say noah did manage to get all the species into the ark... about half of them would have been predators and the other half natural prey.. are we going to belive that they went without eating for 40 days and nights?
or the ridiculous theory as the wt would have it that noah fed them nice tasty bales of straw which they happily munched on?.
and even if one of these two exhuses were true, when the animals were let out of the ark into a world now deverstated by a flood, then wouldn't they have continued eating eachother???

Is The Governing Body Of Jehovah's Witnesses In Agony?
by metatron inwith every passing magazine and assembly, i ask myself, why?.
why does the governing body care?
the diatribes against college, against the internet and i-phones and vampire movies and afterschool sports and social networks and everything new, interesting or useful in the world, why?

You can't escape a cage built with fear and guilt.. as for the GB, they walled themselves in.
Doctrine does not matter. The GB could tomorrow say that the Qur'an was inspired and start studying that instead of the bible and it would not change a thing. Suddenly 7.5 million JWs will start defending Muhammed. Doctrine means nothing. A JW will deny that the sky is blue, I have been in enough JW discussions they will even deny what the literature says to defend the WTS.
The only way out is to get them to see the bars that imprison them. Until they can see the bars nothing will help. It doesn't matter if every elder is a child molestor. It doesn't matter if every KH gets hit by lightning and burns down. They're in a prison and they can't escape.

Are Jehovahs Witnesses a Cult?
by mankkeli inthis is an excerpt from the 1994 watchtower, february 15. in the entire article, the watchtower tries to debunk any claim of their cultism.
see how they go about it.. " would it be accurate to refer to jehovahs witnesses as a religious group with radical views and practices that clash with what is accepted as normal social behavior?
are jehovahs witnesses a cult?.

Oh yeah another one..
If something bad happens within your group, it is always the fault of the followers, never of the leaders.

Getting rid of the Book Study - a way to isolate the JW?
by skeeter1 inthe book study meeting was cancelled a while back.
the watch tower said that it was to provide for a family study night and high gas costs.
hmmm.. i thought about the cancellation of the book study meeting after listening to another pastor discus his mega-churchs dependence on small circle groups.

The book study was also the place where doubters could ask the elder a tough question with witnesses present. The less people to hear "wait on J to sort it out" the better. If you want to ask questions nowadays you'll have to do it in the backroom at the KH. Less opportunity for these tough questions to spiral out of control.

There is one simple question that identifies a cult:
Is there a valid reason why one may quit your group?
In a cult, there is never a valid reason to quit.
Other revealing questions include:
Are you allowed to speak with ex-members?
Name three things you don't like about your group.
Are you allowed to publicly disagree with parts of the doctrine?
Does your group call itself "the truth"?
Does your group advocate the end of the world being near?
Is the main goal of your group something very urgent, on which all the time you can spare must be spent?

Why So Many Young People Are Leaving The Watchtower
by Jeremy C ini have been giving a lot of thought to the young people who are leaving the watchtower organization in recent years.
last night, i was reading the thread posted by jwfacts a while back in which he provided some statistics and graphs showing the rapidly declining growth in the watchtower.
one factor that was discussed at length was the high number of young people who do not stay in the organization.

The funny part is that first they scare of two thirds of all the young people, then after they've left they complain that there aren't enough men reaching out to become a ministerial servant and that we should be looking for men while going door to door..

Roxane... hold fast! They won't last.. soon they'll find a new victim.
Sort of the same thing happened to me.. whenever I'm forced to spend time with JW family or 'friends' they suddenly forgot that I'm an evil atheist apostate and they say things like "Did you like last convention?" "I didn't go." "Oh why not?" "I don't believe in that anymore." etc. etc.
Terrible because I know my MIL spoke to them about the whole affair.
What helped me a lot to deal with this sort of behavior is reading Steve Hassan's books, they can really help you a lot.
Maybe you should simply stop picking up the phone for a few weeks when a number you dont recognize calls..
