  Just noticed a .pdf New World Translation on jw.org

  interesting.

  always wanted a bible i didn't have to carry, except preferably a more accurate one.... one thing i noticed was, remember how they'd have the brackets [] to indicate words inserted, according to them, to complete the sense of what was meant in the original languages?

  i noticed that those brackets are gone, and the words are just in the text now.

  The brackets are still in the study bible.. you are not supposed to know about them until after you are baptized

  hi everyone, first i just want to say if it wasn't this forum, i'd be baptized!

  i haven't managed to successfully end my studies with a zealous jw.

  she uses everything against me to brainwash me into believing i need the org.

  That reminds me of talking with my father.. lame excuse after lame excuse.. continuously changing the subject. In the end you realize that they will swallow any excuse the WTS offers, and that the same excuses just don't work for you anymore.

  yesterday morning while driving heading for the grocery store i saw four jw women out in "service".

  they were walking very slowly on a street where there were no people out and about.

  i observed them for several minutes.

  It takes 5000 hours for a single baptism.. if you take into account people leaving and dying, it takes 8000 hours to add a single publisher.

  Let's say that you're quite the active publisher and you go door to door 10 hours a month. It will take you 42 years to make a new convert.

  42 years.

  Yes, that's an incredible waste of time.

  Wouldn't the predators on the ark have eaten everything by the time the 40 days was over?

  let say noah did manage to get all the species into the ark... about half of them would have been predators and the other half natural prey.. are we going to belive that they went without eating for 40 days and nights?

  or the ridiculous theory as the wt would have it that noah fed them nice tasty bales of straw which they happily munched on?.

  and even if one of these two exhuses were true, when the animals were let out of the ark into a world now deverstated by a flood, then wouldn't they have continued eating eachother???
