A lot of folks seem to be really down on O'Reily for not being "fair". But honestly if you go on any talk show and don't 100% agree with the hosts position you will be slammed as hard as possable. This goes for all the talk/news shows, not just the ones with conservitive hosts. It's the nature of the beast, and why we rarely make any progress in the US, neither side wants to listen.

I was wrongfully Disfellow shipped out...help
by pes0210 inin 04 i was brought before a comitee of 3 elders and admited to sex before marriage, given my situation at the time i fell short, i showed repentance for it and they said they were going to recomend i leave for awhile to find myself spiritually...(wow the only time they got one right) i did find myself spiritually through other means.
now i have a question since i no longer want to be a part of this organization and i was cast out from it, shouldnt my records with my personal information be destroyed?
if its in a file that i do not want to exist?

Debator - Please I beg of you, open your eyes. If you love to WT org. that is fine, and if you want to defend it that is your right and possably your duty, and I don't fault you for that in any way. Nor should anyone else. However, if you truly believe the WT then you must surely believe that it is your duty to convert others so they can maybe have a chance to work their ass off and possably earn Jehovahs favor. If you really want to achieve that then make your arguements most of all honest and truthful. To say that the WT never claims to be inspired so therefore can not be false profits is a pathetic statement at the very least. If they are not inspired then why is it incumbent upon all witness to believe everything that is stated in the WT, change when it changes and never have the oppertunity to question the teachings. I know you will say that any witness can question anything blah, blah, blah. But we all know that is not true. I someone places themselves in a position of religious/spiritual authority above others and states that an event will happen that is a prophicy. Don't try and give a stupid responce to say that the WT is exempt in some way as it would only waste your time and ours.
If you have any real and rational things to say please share as I am always open to learn new things and I am still searching for understanding.

if witnesses are correct that the day could be calculated by ezekiel's prophecy, based on the destruction of jerusalem and the rebuilding of the temple, then they are, in effect saying that, although jesus was aware of the historical account of the destruction of jerusalem, and was alive with the father in heaven when the prophecy was made, and was alive with the father in heaven when jerusalem was destroyed......get this.......he didn't know there was going to be an antetypical (or antitypical i can't remember how to spell it or what it really means) fulfillment 2000 years in the future!!!!
but....then here comes jf rutherford to the rescue.

All I can figure is that the Holy Spirit (helper) did not come until after Jesus died, so Jesus did not have the Holy Spirit? Or maybe its because Jesus was neither an adultor nor a drunkard

The biggest turnoff for me on both sides is that they both say "I'm right, I have all the knowledge and so if you don't take my side you are an ass. I used to be a christian, very sure of my beliefs. But I always had an open mind, and I try and keep it that way. I know there are "truths" in all faiths, and I accept them when I see them. Even those on the Athiest and Agnostic sides. I guess what I mean is I don'thave the answers, nobody does. For years whenever my JW wife or father starts in on their JW are the true religion rants I just tell them that -Nobody has a monopoly on God. Man do they hate that.
As for the two Bills - they are both very arrogant and pompus. I like O'Reily for the most part as I see him argue his point well and he often plays the devils advocate which is why his show is so popular. Mr. Maher is a really funny, and he always has that twinkle in his eye that says "somethings coming. But I don't like the "angry comic" rutine from him or any other comic.

by aligot ripounsous ini just got this information on the phone, from a local jw family member : the society is definitely downsizing its worldwide institutional network and they intend to disband their bethels in the three french overseas departements of martinique, guadeloupe an french guyana.
i've not heard about the fourth departement la reunion in the indian ocean but i gather that they might go the same way there.. i wonder , what about the decent amount of money i donated to them in order to build one of those bethels , is it bound to be siphoned off to brooklyn ?

This was an offer from the local congrgation,ie regular people many of whom probably have children that would benefit from the improvement. Also lending them the equipment that wouldotherwise sit idol is not a great expence. No real money would be leaving the WT coffers but you can bet your sweet bottom that they will make it seem like the largest of all sacrfices for years to come.

Excelant Brotherdan, great explanation. It is almost like - "Full time service protects us! Oh, so you don't believe that? How? do you ask, well then read this magazine you weak, faithless unbeliever. It is putting the conclusion before the hypothisis, ending all questions and reasoning. Just like their blanket statements to cover any of their beliefs - "Everythinking person knows the Trinity is a false doctrine....." if you question it then you are not a thinking person.
There is always a theme in the WT titles. Look back to the late 90's early 2000's and notice a large amount of titles that seemed to show dispaire. "Will suffering ever end?", "Will there ever be peace?". Before that was, all religions are bad. Now, as has been said on the board many times, The GB is great, follow us, obey, obey, obey. When that tactic starts to fade they will have anotherone, or reuse an old one.
