  i was listening to the radio in the car while andy and julian were in the store a while ago.

  grand rapids has a nice little indy, listener supported station.

  this amazing song came on, so beautiful i just have to share.

  i am against the use of the term "pedophile" as it is used within the ex-jw community.

  the definition of pedophilia by merriam-webster is:.

  sexual perversion in which children are the preferred sexual object .

  Too often we place all the responsibility on the female and the guys get a pat on the back for scoring.

  I wholeheartedly agree! It's a disgusting double standard. Why is it that females get named and the boys get thumbs up? It's so wrong...

  let me make this very clear from the get go , i am neither for or against the use of marijuana .

  but it has just occurred to me that many of my life long friends have either had periods in there life where they have or continue to smoke it .

  what if anything has your experience with pot taught you either about yourself or someone you know , was it a positive or negative infuence .

  Ridiculous JW Story - Just Remembered

  i just happened to remember this ridiculous jw story that involved the elders/wt rules at my former congregation.

  for many years, there was a building immediately next to the kh.

  it was a local businessman, and after several years he converted it to a part time church.

  Ah, but Burn, is it truly alive? Hard to say. Someone with intelligence still had to build it. It didn't build itself, did it? It's a real quandary for me.

  I still find it hard to swallow that the universe and all that is in it can be explained by materialistic explanations alone. Perhaps I'll need more time to contemplate it (if not an eternity)...

  I believe life originated from non-living matter. There is no real distinction between the two.

  That is your right to believe. I think Gerard and many others (Dawkins included) might beg to differ...

  Now you're putting words into my mouth. I didn't say that science is evil. It's like a machine, it doesn't have a conscience. It has to be watched carefully. It requires a certain amount of ethical oversight (like a psychopathic child).

  PS: Psychopaths aren't necessarily evil but their lack of a conscience makes them dangerous.
