  So you're saying the speed of light is infinity?

  No BP. The speed of light (C) = 299,792,458 m/s and, in theory, nothing is faster than that.

  What he's saying is that the amount of energy required to propel even a sub-atomic particle to the speed of light (C) would approach infinity and THAT is impossible... by known conventional means. I'm saying that there might be a loophole discovered in the future somewhere that doesn't require "conventional" means.

  the jw's say that they recognized another jw they didn't know because there was just something about them, something special.. working at taco bell has allowed me to see just what that "special" is.. i was noticing their clothes and how people don't dress like that anymore.. few women wear floral ankle length dresses/skirts to work anymore.

  they wear black slacks and blouses, mostly.

  no old men at all wear cheap suits in public.

  TV's best Series-ending episodes

  and now for something a little lighter.. i enjoy well made movies and television series, especially when they push the envelope, do something different.

  there are currently two tv series i'm following closely (dexter and breaking bad), both of which have great promise for spectacular endings.. here are my biased rankings for a few television series that actually wrapped up with a final episode (out of 10).

  m*a*s*h, "goodbye, farewell and amen" - february 28, 1983, after eleven seasons - 7/10 (series went on too long, got stale, ending was overdue).

  Good grief! I wasn't talking about busting open special relativity... I'm merely thinking there might be a workable loophole somewhere. Just because a loophole exists doesn't mean that the whole law comes crashing down...

  Scavenging for members at their place of work

  a jw came in as i started my shift today and said that he tried to contact me before but i wasn't there.. i'm deaf and the brother was from an asl congregation.. i used to do calls like that but didn't realize how irritating and upsetting it could be for the employee/householder.

  i told him that i used to be a jw but quit.. he asked me if i was under discipline or df'd or something..

  In short: learning to say NO and sticking to it is an important life skill.

  I'll say that my upbringing was not exactly typical, even according to JW standards. I'm lucky to have grown up learning about boundaries along the way and I've only seen them reaffirmed after reading the book I previously mentioned. I suppose that I'm also cautious, private and very stubborn by nature. When the chips are down, I know how to keep my mouth shut. I hope that more and more XJWs will figure these things out eventually. Best wishes to all..

  The only thing that's really new here are the frequency of reports. Humans are more numerous than ever before and living in more places than ever before with more monitoring tools than ever before. As stated before, earthquakes, in of themselves, are nothing new...

  To be brutally honest, I don't think that Freudian or Jungian dream analysis is valid at all. It's "BULLSHIT!" as Penn & Teller would so eloquently describe it, at least IMHO. YOUR dreams occur only inside the theatre of YOUR own mind and nowhere else. They are firmly locked in the confines of your own skull. There are no universal interpretations to any elements of anyone's dreams. If dreams can be interpreted, they must be matched and compared to what is going on in real life. Maybe then you can figure out a real meaning.

  Also, what would be the proper way to interpret any piece of art? There are no universalisms in that either...
