by flipper ini would assume that some or a good number of us here as normal humans in this society - consider " lawless " actions to include murder , robbery, extortion, rape, child abuse, war , terrorism, etc.
the wt society has their own definition of what's considered " lawless ".
anything that's considered a disfellowshipping offense in the jehovah's witnesses is now considered " lawless ".

Are DF'd ones lawless if they were done that way because of some gross miscarriage of justice during the procedings of a kangaroo court trial that is typical of a JC? What I'm asking is what about a poor soul who has been railroaded because some a****le of an Elder simply didn't like him/her?!!! Ending up in a deep depression over the WTS's broken promises of a "spiritual paradise" is a rather un happy ending as well. There are no real friendships on the inside. The so-called "brotherly love" in a JW congo is as phony as a three dollar bill. Is it any wonder we liken being among the BOrg to being in The Matrix? It's all a lie and it's depressing!

...even though im returning its not like im returning to be a super zealous witness(elder,pioneer,minsterial servant) Im just going to go to my meetings and go out in service when i get the chance. I feel like there are alot of ppl in the world who would be better off being in the witness world, so preaching to ones who are looking for some kind of purpose in life will be better then me just doing what i am doing now. thanks again
Admittledly nobody here can stop anyone from coming out from or going back to the JWs but know this: nobody on the inside is your friend. No one!
I desperately hope you don't see the day when someone you're close to sticks a knife in you. Most congregations are little more than dangerous snake pits. If you do anything to raise an Elder's dander, they might come at you with trumped up charges and a JC for just about anything... ANYTHING! Miscarriages of justice happen in congregations much more often than you'd think. In time, you might find that being on the inside could become more and more intolerable as time goes on. It coulbe come to a point where going to meeting might make you increasingly ill to the point where you might not be able to keep your muth shut about it anymore. Staying among JWs could cost you a lot of your sanity over the long run! And don't you even dare try to bring someone else on the outside into this slavery. I repeat: being a JW is not harmless.

The last time we witnessed a scene like that in our lifetimes was during 9/11. That was more than horrible enough. Despite all the safety standards we have now, there was little we could do for ppl jumping out of THOSE buildings.
What makes this tragedy of a century ago more terrible was that it really WAS preventable. 9/11? Not so sure...

for the first time since 1975, yours truly will not attend and i couldn't be happier.

When I ceased the field circus because of a deep depression earlier in the year, I ended up not going to the memorial that year either because I felt paranoid about the crowds of ppl wondering where I was and what I was doing. The mere thought of all the whispers and questions made even thinking about attending unbeararble. The up and coming is going to be the fourth one in a row I've missed now and I couldn't care less. I've always done things for my own reasons and my family knows it too.

Harper is constantly painted as an evil and diabolical contol freak by the haters. Sounds close enough to people actually calling out 'Satan' to me.
I'm not really into politics at all but the way left wingers go after Harper an the like gets really off the hook sometimes. Likening Harper to George Bush tends to be a real stretch...
