this was some of the most blatant , aggressive , controlling information i've seen in awhile in the " witness only " version of the wt.
of course, it's always blatant, but the manner that was used in this article was so authoritative and demanding - it's apparent the wt society is losing members and they are amping up the control tactics to keep members trapped.

apparently youtube has managed to silence the average video makers, push them off the "featured video list" and only promote the big guys with ad revenue enabled.
allot of talented musicians and film makers have left as a result of this, and they have been replaced with attention whores screaming "look at me, i say rude stuff, look at my hair!".

i took the course of fading and it's worked pretty well for me.
after i saw sooooo many silly rules being enforced, i needed to get out!.
My own reasons were similar to those of Awen and Hortensia.
After a ten year limbo, I started returning to the bOrg. I too was surrounded with JW's who wanted to go out to eat, hang out, etc, before my baptism at 28. After I got baptized, the friendliness in the congregation towards me started to fade ever so slowly... but I didn't really notice at the time. I admit that with my ADHD I was (and still am) prone to making mistakes and pissing people off... but was that an excuse for them to withdraw from me and start treating me like a piece-of-shit criminal? I think not. A few years and a major romantic disappointment later, I started becoming depressed as hell and it was then that I started realizing some things.
I started to see what a cold, loveless, elitist, superficial bunch most of the people in my congregation truly were. I started to realize that people whom I though were true friends really weren't that way at all. I realized that if you weren't a pioneer, MS, Elder or at least a very close associate of one, you were regarded as a useless slacker. I realized that if you hadn't gotten yourself married off by the time you were in your mid twenties, you're regarded as damaged goods, especially if you weren't a pioneer, MS, etc. The clique-i-ness in the congregation was especially strong and a lot of 'lesser ones' (including me) were left on the outside looking in. And this wasn't just in my local congregation... this kind of crap was what I was seeing in every other congregation that I was visiting too. When I was just a hair's breadth from dropping meetings altogether, I learned that there was at least one rumour about me that was going around behind my back. That made me especially paranoid. It all made me sick and tired in the end. I couldn't take it anymore...

i guess that my one year anniversary here has come.. i've made lots of friends... and perhaps a few enemies.. i've made people laugh... i've pissed people off.... i've made people think... i've made people cringe.... i've moved ahead in some areas of life... still stuck in some others.... i've had a lot of fun... i've had some tense moments and tears.... i've been able to make sense to people... spoke utter nonsense at other times.... to my 'fans' here: thanks for the support and having my back... .

firefox 5 doesn`t support cut and paste... you have to use "contact capture" and you have to sign up for it... so i signed up as fred flintstone and said my occupaton was a dino driver for slate & son...
lol!!...
i also put a note on the application that said i hoped contact capture would work this time... (i tried a few times..nothing worked..).

The cut/copy/paste thing hasn't been allowed in Firefox (by default) for the longest time because of so-called security concerns. I managed to get it to work because of some judicious google searching and advanced tinkering with some weird stuff inside of FF. Here's a link that might help you out (I hope)...

generation y has become the popular nickname for current teens and young adults.. .
Bah! I don't identify much with the Baby Boomers at all, especially since both of my folks are of the so-called "Silent Generation". The 'Boomers can keep their 'pepsi generation' thing, their social revolution, their polemics and their empty promises for all I care. LOL! (Apologies to any of my friends in this group but it's how I feel.) Previous generations had silently laid the groundwork for the changes in society that we saw during the 60's and 70's many decades before already. There was a lot of unfortunate showboating from too many of the 'Boomers that came up short in the end, IMHO.
I firmly identify with Gen X and their critical thinking, pragmatism and savvy. I also identify with Gen Y and the Millennials when it comes to their practicality and musicals tastes too.
