  What are the best questions?

  what would you say are the best questions to ask a jw which they will not be able to answer and may make them question their beliefs?.

  my mother retired from her full-time job recently and has started attending meetings again.

  she also has plenty of time to think about her wayward children, including me.

  one night, we were talking and she asked me, again, why i wasn't going to meetings.

  Those Who Follow the Beast

  given the warnings that "those who follow the beast" go into destruction....why would anyone follow the beast unless they thought they had no choice, or unless there was some gain to be had personally?.

  could it be because many are misled into believing the beast is their salvation in some way?.

  why would they cling to the scarlet robe of the harlot?.

  It's so difficult to understand that people can be so gullible and controlled whilst parading it as "faith". Sorry to anyone who may still believe it, I don't mean to be condescending, it's just such a shame that they are sitting in the Kingdom Hall watching precious life pass them by whilst being basically conned by men.

  Why are they always so sure? They are just clutching at straws and constantly making a laughing stock of themselves. Why don't they concentrate on the here and now and just accept that they they don't know when Armageddon is coming? (just for the record I don't believe there will be an Armageddon)

  Thanks for explaining that, it makes sense now (but doesn't make sense of course!!).

  until recently the thought of the world coming to an end had never even entered my head, and it's only since I have been researching JW teachings that I have even thought about it. What an tragic and wasteful way to live your life. Everything on hold, waiting and waiting for something which there is absolutely no evidence will happen.

  Sorry if I sound thick, but what exactly does this generation/overlap thing mean?
