H'mm 13 people murdered by two deranged people who say they are JWs. Nothing can diminish these tragedies that were caused by two deranged Rusians, but has the GB done anything to help minimize JWs from during horrific tragedies or does the GB's actions continue to victimize JWs and cause more tragedies?

How many people have sacrificed their lives following the WTBTS's blood doctrine or the lives of their children? How many people have been deceived into loaning money to the WTBTS and never getting it back? How many people believed the WTBTS was right about the end being near and didn't get a better education or wasted their lives distributing WTBTS's propaganda, instead of living their lives? How many people have been told to be silent by elders about crimes that were committed by other JWs against JWs?

Too many to count and the WTBTS is helping to promote more Cult Speak everyday.

Here are a few of my favorite mind blowers in no particular order:

Loves Jehovah - Means blindly follow instructions of all WTBTS's elders, CO's, DO's, and of course the GB.
Jehovah's Organization - Means a printing, propaganda distribution, and real estate holding corporation that is located in NY, USA that uses BITE control techniques to victimize its members to blindly follower its leaders.
The Truth - Means what every the GB wants R&F JWs to blindly believe or do without thinking for themselves.
Apostate - Means anyone who says anything even slightly negative about the WTBTS and its leaders - especially if it is the truth.
Spiritually Strong - Means brain dead JW who blindly follows instructions from WTBTS's leaders.
Spiritually Weak - Means awakening JW who does not blindly follow all instructions from WTBTS's Leaders.
Worldly - Means a person who is not a JW and therefore is a dangerous association because they might enable a JW to awaken and realize that the WTBTS is a DANGEROUS CULT!
Holy Spirit - Means the WTBTS's GB.
Faithful and Discreet Slave (FSD) - Means the WTBTS's GB.
Be nice to me - Means do not say anything negative about "Jehovah's Organization" (see above definition), because I am feeling cognitive dissonance and I do not want to awaken.

hi everybody.. well, i've been lurking for a few weeks & have made a few posts, so it's time to bravely introduce myself some more.... i was raised in the religion, baptized & then df'd in 1992. i live in sydney and youll be pleased to hear i have survived armageddon (also known as the hottest day on record for sydney 45.6c).. ive never looked at any witness related stuff online, but my son showed me something about the conti case and i was so intrigued!!!!

following links led me to this & other websites..... since then i have spent literally hours on the internet discovering all this information.

so many late nights/early mornings.

Welcome Pickler and congratulations on surviving 45.6 C (or 114F) temperatures in Sydney. I don't like it when the temperature breaks 100F in S. CA.

Have you read any of Steve Hassan's books (i.e., "Combatting Cult Mind Control", "Releasing the Bonds: Empowering People to Think for Themselves", and (his latest) "Freedom of Mind: Helping Loved Ones Leave Controlling People, Cults and Beliefs") or visited his website? If you have family members who are JWs, Hassan's books may help you rebuild or improve your relationships with them.

Also, Hassan's books may help exJW's, who you know, deal with issues from their WTBTS experience. I know an exJW, who left the WTBTS about 25 years ago and does not believe the Bible is God's inspired word, but does believe that the WTBTS is correctly interpreting the Bible. He would be very susceptible to rejoining the WTBTS if he experiences some devastating emotional crisis.

Just yelled at my mom today

sorry to post this but for some reason after a year of not talking i got drunk this morning(yeah i know no lecture) and called my mom and blew up.

i tolded her she was a false prophet and a horriable christian mother who never even came to her grandson's birth by my wife.

my words came out like a river of rage from which i never knew.

Its been a long time since i last posted, but life is being rough again

been married and getting divorced, and now have a son.

life has not been kind to me since i have left the org.

Hi akafreelife, I'm sorry that you are feeling a little low now, so get out of your home and go meet new friends. If you feel that you may have smothered your girlfriend, then you probably did. Also, you don't seem that socially awkward. You just need to practise meeting strangers, asking them simply questions, and getting to know them.

What do you like to do? What makes you happy when you do it? Figure out want you want from life and you may find someone who likes to do the same things and you will be attracted to them or that you would want to be friends with them.

Advertising the REAL Jehovah's Witnesses when I can...

today, my wife went to labcorp to take a pre-employment drug screening.

she doesnt have a driver's license, so i took her.. in the waiting room, with the magazines were a copy of atalaya (watchtower) and despertad (awake).

it'd be nice to think they were left by a jw who decided then and there that she'd had enough of the lies, but from what i gathered on jwn, it was probably a lazy publisher counting it as perpetual service hours.. anyway, on the back of both, i left the message "for more information about jehovah's witnesses please google candace conti.".

Glad to hear that your life and fade are going well Kool Jo.

From your post you sound more than a little interested in the attractive JW at work. I hope that you do not get more interested in her. Since your post did not mention any other love interests in your life, it seems more than likely that you will become more interested in her.

With all the WTBTS magazines laying around, have you thought about writing on them "Visit www.jwfacts.com to learn more."? Who knows maybe one of the JWs might visit www.jwfacts.com out of curiousity.

Need advice. My inactive jw husband has been lured back.

Hi ingimar, I'm sorry about your health issues.

Take it slow with your husband. If you have the energy, make friends with non-JWs, who your husdand shares similiar interests, and plan fun outings that your husband will enjoy that may interfere slightly with him attending meetings. If your husband wants to go to WTBTS conventions, make reservations in hotels that are not on the WTBTS's recommended list that have nicer accomodations for the same or lower price that you would enjoy staying at.

Also, encourage your husband to join you in Bible studies without using WTBTS pamphlets. Although I would recommend reading the NT before reading the OT, you should ask for suggestions from JWN members about which scriptures to read and what simple questions would require your husband to use his brain. Royal Commission nto child sex abuse - confidentiality

this was reported in the west australian newspaper yesterday.

"victims' agreements no bar for abuse inquiry - the head of the royal commission into child sex abuse has warned institutions they will not be able to hide behind confidential.ity agreements to stymie scrutiny of their conduct or stop victims speaking out.

in his first public comments since his appointment, justice peter mcclellan said the commission wold not hesitate to use its power to compel organisations to give evidence if deemed to be necessary for the inquiry.... some legal experts had suggested that the royal commission would not be able to override confidentiality agreements signed by victims when settling claims against organisations but justice mcclellan made clear the agreements would not be a barrier.

Royal Commission Press Conference held on 01/11/2013 - "The Commission will prepare an interim report by no later than 30 June 2014 so that governments and organisations can start taking action on the Commission's early findings and recommendations."

The initial findings could be released in less than a year and a half. GO AUSSIES!!!!
