I doubt that your friend's son would listen to anyone saying don't marry a JW, but your friend may appreciate to know more about dangerous cults and how to improve communication with their son.

i'm so happy that they came while i was home, and i was prepared for the knock on my door.
i greeted a very nice jw lady on my doorstep.
she wanted to give me a pamphlet about whether the dead will live again.
Hi Faithful Witness, I'm glad that you had the courage, patience, and love to plant a seed of doubt in a JW. You could have really made her day by inviting her in for a cup of tea and cookies to prevent her from placing more propaganda.

my believing mother, with whom i've recently reconnected after twenty years, and i had a mostly pleasant conversation this weekend.
i had planned to visit one of these weekends before the weather gets rough and she called to warn me away this weekend - a vicious storm was coming through.. she mentioned that my uber-dub sister and her family would also be there.
i carefully and calmly explained that being there at the same time would not be a very good thing.
HI Suraj Khan, Congradulations on wanting to improve your relationship with your mother, and hopefully help her to critically think for herself. Of course if she says that the congregation is getting smaller, it wouldn't hurt to ask her what she feels is the root cause, or to ask what she would do to increase the congregation size or to combine congregations to reduce costs since the end is soooo near and the need is so urgent.

Hi Ding, Some JWs will offer to study only the Bible with a bible student, but the conductors will just cherry pick Scriptures to substantiate the WTBTS's doctrines and will change subjects as soon as they meet resistance. I know this because it happened to me. The publisher stopped the study after about 2 meetings when he felt that I would not submit to the WTBTS's doctrine.

i found it important to be honest with my wife.
so i told her about my conscience decision that in a medical urgency i want blodless medicine but if a transfusion of blood or the 4 prohibited components is necessary to save my life or health i would accept it.
this would apply especially also for our child (that is not such a problem as in our country the wts recommends to comply with doctors as they have the right to decide concerning minors).. i showed her the reasons why i came to that conscience decision (biblical and logical reasons) and that jehovah and jesus do not like anyone to die because of this wrong bible application.. .
Best of wishes to you Daniel1555 when you talk with the elders. The elders will either "Help" you to refuse blood transfusions or say that you are no longer a JW because you DA'ed yourself. There is a zero possibility that the elders will support your conscience and conclusions. I hope that you wife will support you if you are DA'ed.

Indoctrination session, because JWs will omit information/lie if they feel that a study will be turned off by the WTBTS's doctrines. I don't believe that Jesus Christ promoted lying or Theologic Warfare Strategy in the Bible.

a little background, i faded in 2007 and have been out ever since.
i started studying at 18 and have no jw realitives.
i'm returing because my life is heading in the wrong direction.
Best of Wishes to you Space Madness. You may be discouraged going back to your old KH, because JWs may view you as "Spiritually Weak" (still thinking) because you faded about 6 years ago. I do understand how JW love-bombing may appear loving, but then ask yourself how many times have your JW friends called you to see how you were doing in the last 6 years just to talk with you about things that you enjoy doing together.
By the way what do you believe in or like doing? I would recommend that you get involved in local community activities, instead of returning to the KH. I would rather make unconditional non-JW friends instead of conditional JW friends.
