  Stats: Does Money affect the growth? Analyze please...

  i made a graph of the new members from 2012 to 2013 in all countries that had positive growth, and graphed them against the country's gdp per capita.. .

  the general trend is, as expected, less growth the more money there is in a country.

  but there were some unexpected results.

  Hi ILoveTTATT, Have you thought about normalizing the increase in publishers from number of new publishers to a percentage increase in publishers (or a ratio of new publishers divided by number of publishers in the previous year for a country)? Assuming that the WTBTS's indoctrination methods are equally efficient from country to country, then the percentage of new publishers should not change from country to country, where as the number of new publishers will vary by how many publishers were in a country in the previous year.

  Simon does have a valid point about using disposable income instead of average GPD. The following link shows disposable income for some countries: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_per_capita_personal_income. Unfortunately, fewer countries are listed with disposable income than by using minimum wages by countries in the following link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_minimum_wages_by_country, as I previously suggested that you use.

  i am in that stage and i feel as if i'm seeking out the ttatt.

  i feel the wt society is hiding way too much.

  Hi Brother Mike, Do your own independent research of the WTBTS and your beliefs to convince yourself. Then, make a plan how to live the rest of your life the way that you want to and not the way that other people want you to.

  "I'm thinking of getting reinstated just so I can get my family back."

  this was just said to me by a friend who was disfellowshipped just over 2 years ago.

  she just had a miscarriage, and her partner dumped her rather than supported her through this process.

  she told her jw parents, and they refuse to even call her or offer her any emotional support.

  Bruja-del-Sol - We both thought he had a pretty good image of my life when I was a JW, but the movie had great impact on him. It was definitely an eye opener to him.

  Hi Bruja-del-Sol, I would be curious what your husband thinks of the other video: Strategic Interactive Approach explained 2003 (1:23:23) by Steve Hassan. His eyes should really open wide after watching it.

  Where the need is greater: TTATT in Spanish

  it seems most of the us growth is in spanish-speaking territory, and of course, there is growth in the nations where spanish is the predominant language.

  most sites oriented around ttatt, are english-speaking.

  there seems then to be a great need for translators...for instance, imagine if there was a spanish version of www.jwfacts.com.. unfortunately, i dont speak this language.

  I get sad when a good thread dies. I hope that this one doesn't until there are jwfacts webpages translated into Spanish and there is at least one JWN Spanish language forum.

  I hope that volunteers with native-Spanish language skills volunteer to act as translators for jwfacts and as a moderator(s) for JWN. Is it best for volunteers to email jwfacts at [email protected] or use the JWN PM system and to email Simon at simon@jehovahs-witness.com or to use the JWN PM system?

  DITTO what Julia Orwell wrote about reading Steve Hassan's books (i.e., "Combatting Cult Mind Control", "Releasing the Bonds: Empowering People to Think for Themselves", and (his latest book) "Freedom of Mind: Helping Loved Ones Leave Controlling People, Cults and Beliefs) and visiting his website www.freedomofmind.com and watching videos on his website like Strategic Interactive Approach explained 2003 (1:23:23).

  By the way I'm curious why you joined, because it seems like a lot of new members joined JWN recently. Does the holidays help people to overcome their fears and join JWN?

  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Bruja-del-Sol! Dreams are good, but only if you live in and for the present. It seems like you have had some important revelations on your own. If you can afford to talk with a counselor, it may help you to disover more WTBTS phobias that you may be carring.

  What do you like to do? Have you searched the internet for activities where you currently live to meet locals who have similar interests as you and who may speak english? Do you know about www.meetup.com or http://ex-jehovahs-witnesses.meetup.com/? Unfortunately, their are no ex-JW meetup groups in Spain, but you could always start one.

  Your written English is very good. Have you enrolled in Spanish classes at a local school or asked local school teachers, if you can help them teach English to Spanish students?

  They're everywhere these days!!

  just spotted witnesses handing out brochures like they were going out of fashion this afternoon.

  this was at oxford circus in london (one of the busiest shopping areas of london).

  they were actually getting in the way and had boxes of the rubbish!!.

  Hi scotinsw, Do you want to have some fun?

  Next time take a Sharpie (or make up labels in advance with a URL barcode). Start talking to the JWs. After they ask to give you a phamplet, ask them if they will accept valuable information in return. They will of course qualify what they will accept, but you can easily overcome their objections by saying you will not give them anything religious. When they hand you a phamplet, write a website URL on it like www.jwfacts.com, www.freedomofmind.com, www.watchtowerdocuments.com, www.freeminds2.org, www.jwsurvey.org, etc, or place a permanent glue sticker on the phamplet, and hand it back to them . Follow up with by telling them how much better you felt by visiting the name of the website that you just wrote on the phamplet.

  I tried this on Thanksgiving with a biblestudent and a JW. They were all smiles and left with the phamplet. They will never place that phamplet so they cannot count it as being placed. They may even visit the website in the future.

  Welcome budbayview, I'm glad that you no longer victimized by the WTBTS's BITE control and are able to be spiritual without needing to be a member of an organized religion. I look forward to reading more of your posts.
