i found it important to be honest with my wife.
so i told her about my conscience decision that in a medical urgency i want blodless medicine but if a transfusion of blood or the 4 prohibited components is necessary to save my life or health i would accept it.
this would apply especially also for our child (that is not such a problem as in our country the wts recommends to comply with doctors as they have the right to decide concerning minors).. i showed her the reasons why i came to that conscience decision (biblical and logical reasons) and that jehovah and jesus do not like anyone to die because of this wrong bible application.. .
Best of wishes to you Daniel1555 when you talk with the elders. The elders will either "Help" you to refuse blood transfusions or say that you are no longer a JW because you DA'ed yourself. There is a zero possibility that the elders will support your conscience and conclusions. I hope that you wife will support you if you are DA'ed.

Indoctrination session, because JWs will omit information/lie if they feel that a study will be turned off by the WTBTS's doctrines. I don't believe that Jesus Christ promoted lying or Theologic Warfare Strategy in the Bible.

a little background, i faded in 2007 and have been out ever since.
i started studying at 18 and have no jw realitives.
i'm returing because my life is heading in the wrong direction.
Best of Wishes to you Space Madness. You may be discouraged going back to your old KH, because JWs may view you as "Spiritually Weak" (still thinking) because you faded about 6 years ago. I do understand how JW love-bombing may appear loving, but then ask yourself how many times have your JW friends called you to see how you were doing in the last 6 years just to talk with you about things that you enjoy doing together.
By the way what do you believe in or like doing? I would recommend that you get involved in local community activities, instead of returning to the KH. I would rather make unconditional non-JW friends instead of conditional JW friends.

this is my first post on jwn, and i would like to take a few lines to introduce myself.. i currently am still in the organization, though my conviction in the last 1-2 years is more or less agnostic/atheist (closer to atheist).
i am an ex-elder and mts graduate, having served in another 3 congregations, apart from my home one.. the reason for the above-mentioned conviction shift has to do with science and rational, logical thinking generally, and with the grand theory of evolution, specifically.
it took me long, endless sessions of hard reading and study of serious scientific literature (plus cross-matching all the quotes and claims in jw evolution-related literature), to finally make the shift from utterly firm religious belief to doubt, and then to lack of religious faith.
Welcome Syme, Your English is good enough to be easily understood. Since you no longer believe in God, what are your plans now? Do you have JW friends and family who you want to maintain relationships with? I hope that you continue to vent on JWN so that your JW friends and family do not suspect that you no longer believe in that the WTBTS has the "Truth".

Welcome kneehighmiah, What other plans do you have? Are you planning on attending college like your friends? Are you planning to do more independent research of the WTBTS? Life is too short slaving for a printing and distribution, and real estate holding corporation.

what rationale do they have, for keeping track of their hours and literature placements?

Have you researched when the WTBTS started to record hours? Have you looked through WTBTS's annual reports to see when the WTBTS started reporting hours?
Once you know when the WTBTS started recording hours, you will probably discover why the WTBTS started to record hours.

The WTBTS's Jehovah does not exist! If you believe in God, follow Jesus Christ's teachings in the Bible instead of the WTBTS. If you do not believe in God or have doubts about God's existance, why follow the WTBTS while it victimizes JWs with BITE control techniques?

i kind of snapped at my wife today...for no reason really.
and in my frustration ive been contemplating just spilling the beans...i know its not the best idea but i do t know how much longer i can lead a double life and hide the truth.
as i still believe in god i feel like a hypocrite.
Hi DS211, If your wife started to smoke again, does that mean she is a JW? It sounds like taking a break from WTBTS propaganda helps you to relax, so go out an have fun with your wife instead of going to meetings. Also, if you can afford to see a counselor, it might help you handle your feelings better.
