as i'm sure we all know, the society has lied repeatedly in the past about what they preached regarding 1914 in the run up to that year, claiming that what was preached was that jesus was to become king in that year and his presence was to begin then etc, when in fact they were preaching that all this had already happened in 1874 and that the end of the world would come in 1914.. .

Alfred, thats perfect! Exactly what I was looking for. Yes, that DVD lies specifically about this issue several times, showing that it's still a current deception. Just what I wanted to know.
What a bunch of frauds, and now some of the GB have actually put their names and faces to this lie too. We know it's deliberate, because so many people have written to them about it in years past. They had their chance to stop telling lies, but they're addicted.

I see they still teach that Jesus presence began in 1914. But I'm wondering if they still falsely claim that they were preaching this same thing long before 1914, if you see what I mean? They have lied about what they used to preach back then, trying to pretend it was the same as what they teach now, and I'm wondering if they are still repeating this lie in very recent times.

I have to say I was quite impressed with your mother's response. Her reply could have been an awful lot worse as they often are, in many such cases. Despite her failings and bad choices, both of which have affected you, she seems to love you and be reasonably open to hearing an alternative perspective.

Yes, I recognize it as a cult now. But the thing about cults is - nobody knows when they are in one. The mind control obviously extends to making you unaware that you are mind controlled. LOL. So, it does take a while to realize. It's a very strange feeling. It's like a fog slowly lifts from your mind. You literally can't understand how you once believed and accepted the things you once did, as it's so obvious - now - that they were bogus.
Brainwashing, mind control, are very real things and can only really be fully understood retrospectively.

The jury in the Court of Public Opinion unanimously found you guilty of being a deliberate serial liar and a counterfeit Christian many pages ago. You were fined your remaining credibility, sentenced to JWN ignominy for life and branded a deceitful 'false teacher' according to Biblical standards, as at 2 Peter 2:1-3.
