we now have more than 165,000 [literature] carts on the streets in over 50 countries.
it gives us visibility and availability.
Knocking on doors put witnesses up close & personal with the householder. There you are face to face ........now what? You must speak! Your brain must put out information. You must make some sense and be able to explain & show how you are right etc.
Cart stuff ....not so much. IF asked a question ....just refer them to jw.org.
NEWS FLASH .... watchtower crap is totally unexplainable now! Wt had to put distance btw the dub & worldly persons! They even stand away from the bloody cart!!!!! Not up close & personal anymore ....... because Watchtower doesn't want to get caught out...NO ONE CAN UNDERSTAND or EXPLAIN wt crap anymore!

i served for years as an elder in london ontario.
finally stepped aside because of the old boy network, elders covering up for one another, practice of elders and their wives party times with excessive use of alcohol.
the elders families getting slaps on the wrist for major sins.
OOOH ...sounds like you were just dismissed or something along that line! Maybe Doc is looking out for you and doesn't want you to waste anymore time on watchtower! Well none of us should dwell too long on it... but love your post, sounds like your experiences are pretty interesting. As a woman I was not privy to a whole bunch of 'old boy stuff'. So after waking-up it has been quite a peek into this exclusive club. It kind of levels the playing field to hear the truth about these leaders, elders, princes', dukes etc.

My understanding is that this unheard of behavior (in wt) was last year ...probably to herald in the new JW.org blue & white watchtower insignia. After that is when it was plastered all over (my old hall 5 of them) the kh. Now there are flags flying at the CONvention in Switzerland with JW.org

i don't know how so many who seem to be certain this life is it after being jw's seem to happily accept it and be fine with it.
i am living and trying to live as if this is it.
i want there to be a future life/afterlife, something, but i see how fast life comes and goes and even if i'm living it to the fullest, there is no peace for me with the thought this may be it.
