as most of you know, my husband and i da's ourselves almost 8 months ago.
the communication with my family stayed pretty normal.

i attended a recent ministerial servant k m school on the east coast and the main school instructor mentioned among other things (part entitled: 'objective of the km school course') that the total number of ministerial servants is seriously less than it should be.
in times past the ratio of m ss to elders was much more than it is today.. in the u.s. apparently the total number of elders is 88,500+ as opposed to m ss 65,000. the numbers show & numbers don't lie: the society is running out of spiritual men.
the instructor stated that this is a new downward trend that has (in so many words) the society worried.. the next speaker (part entitled: 'why we must be spiritual men') added that in his years as a traveling servant the pool of m ss has always been much, much larger than it is today.
My 'observations' .... many longtime elders are finished, with the ever increasing Alzhiemers brain disorders!!
What few younger ones there are, - the 40-60 year olds are feeling 'squeezed' from the pressure and the added load of responsibilities.
Can't see any of the 20-30yr olds getting in line for these jobs privledges!

unlike mainstream christianity, jehovah's witnesses already enthroned their jesus in 1914.. in fact, it is the very foundation cornerstone of all their doctrines!.
what is particularly embarassing (or should be if realized fully) is that jw's own enthroned jesus has been quiet, docile, ineffective.
as ruler and completely impotent when it comes to accomplishing anything significant!.

i just saw a dvd on the possible scientific explanation for the star of bethlehem and found it quite interesting.
though it is a pro-christian viewpoint, i think the explanations use science and chronology to come to this explanation of whether the star was fact or fiction.

Thanks for the prints. I loved the book 'Life Everlasting' also. So excited I pioneered at that time.
Now that was a bit of a disaster, but a story for another time.
There was a brochure that was furtively slipped into the hands of very perplexed householders, ...maybe 1974,(?), very to the point! Wish I had saved one. The main rule was just to hurry through the neighborhoods with it. Just place it ... very little talking! End is so close!

the principle is that individuals in gods organization are unimportant.
its not open to personalities as the mission statement in the watchtower states.... .
but if its a toss up between financial profits and principles then clearly principles need to be jettisoned if profits are to be maximised..... .

when i was a couple of months old my father was put into prison in seagoville, texas.
the watchtower took him away from me for almost 2 years and destroyed almost all hope that he and i would ever have a normal relationship.
i say this because i believe the bond that we should have formed when i was a baby was severed forever and that's the damnable shame of it all.
