to some degree, i think i understand where she's coming from.

just speaking from my own experiences since stepping into the world of anonymous apostacy, i went through a few different phases of personal outlooks.

The conclusions of most are not just words or whims, but are the result of experience ....real blood, sweat and tears.

This organization is not wrong or evil because it has just normal human failings or that it has accidentally miscalculated dates or expanded claims to greatness, no, this cult has knowingly and systematically twisted and calculated events for it's own ends. No matter what the damage, no matter the cost to the enticed followers!

No matter who will try to enlighten them as was in the case of Ray Franz and many others ... they still refuse to accept Truth. They love the big LIE so much!

Adjust our attitude???? Our attitude is not the problem.

Has anyone knocked on your door recently?

i am a housewife, and no one has knocked on my door to spread the "truth",not even on the weekends.

question, has anyone experienced this... or has the preaching work slowed down?

or are the witnesses less active, zealous?.

Do you remember the days, up until a couple of years ago, when there were always witnesses on every street corner on the main drag. Every early morning, you could count on it. Then off to the mtg for service at 9:30!!! Now, never see anyone out! Must be losing it's lustre I guess.

just recently in the past 3 years that i've been out i've noticed i'm now getting laughter and smile lines.

nothing aging but i've realised i spent the rest of my life priviously not smiling at all.

people used to say to me " smile highdose!

Watchtower contradicts the Bible on HELL

in the public edition of the april 1 wt, the questions from readers twists scriptures, meanings, and language to come to the conclusion that hell is not a place.. whether you believe in hell or not, you have to agree that their methods of arguing this point are dishonest.

"The soul that is sinning it itself will die"...not fry, is a cute play on words used by jw's. The many numbers of scripture though, that speak of fire, burning, eternal damnation and punishment, makes one pause and go .... hhmmmm.

Personally, just the words alone, used to describe punishment, - burning hell - lake burning with fire and sulpher - eternal torture - slain -avenge, - leaves me feeling sick.

Whether or not there is torture in a burning hell, these words are so repugnant to me. Where do these descriptions come from?? Could a loving parent ever think up such cruel things to tell their child? Do we keep our children in line with such horrible threats, whether true or not? I am a Christian. Maybe the watchtower's take on hell is not a contradition of the bible! I don't know, but those words are still there.

Romans 8:15 is interesting regarding who has Gods spirit. It is not for just the 144000, note the two classes - "For you did not receive a spirit of slavery causing fear again, but you recieved a spirit of adoption as sons". Jews & Gentile. Not 144000 & great crowd.

Wow this sucks

my decision to de-program my mind, about a year ago, has been fairly uneventfull, despite a few intense but very real conversations with my wife and parents.. however in the past couple days my father has pretty much made it clear to me that he will put the gb (not god, although they are pretty much viewed the same) before me.

also tonight the inlaws, who have probly gotten whiff of my inactivity and who never get personal, started to give a lecture on the extreme importance of the family worship arrangement so lovingly arranged for us by the fds, and how if we are not taking advantage of this wonderful provision will not be prepared for armagedon.

i swear blood was gushing from biting my tounge.. im starting to sense that consequences are coming for my sin of independent research and study.

The message that "it's too late now", evidently(tm) is what the big hailstones in Revelation are all about!?

I think the next hoop to jump through will be more of the same ... but to an intolerable degree.

For instance, the GB will emerge from it's relatively foggy and anonymous entity to a blatant monstrosity demanding clear recognition ... that they are in 'fact' the christs!!

Believe it, or ........... die.
