What's going on at 100 Henry Street?

id like to first clarify that i am not a conspiracy theorist by any stretch of the imagination.

however, i couldnt resist connecting the dots on some research ive been doing recently about watchtower spin-off corporations.

one such corporation that caught my attention is located just a few blocks away from the wtbts headquarters in brooklyn, quite possibly in a back room at the st george hotel on 100 henry street.

Well Alfred I like it! I'm nuts about intrigue. As your plot unfolds ............

"in a back room at the St George Hotel on 100 Henry Street. ......currently owned by a powerful Jewish family who apprently attempted to dabble in bio-fuels... but has since abandoned those plans. It is called “Watchtower, Inc.”............... (bastardized quote!)

Do you remember (if I had thought ahead I would have looked it up) the story of a little Jewish man who would basically just walk right in to NY bethel to have a bit of a chat with Freddy Franz any old time and he was not a jw!

It was posted by Barbara Anderson maybe, or one other of our lovely people who know so much about the early days.

Anyway, it was a bit of a mysterious goings on that I wish would get hit by a flash of "new light"!!!! Also seems Russell & Rutherford both sucked up to the Jewish folks until, of course, that stopped being popular! (then jr sucked up to Hitler)

As far as the - "new oxygen-generating device which converts water into breathable oxygen."

I wouldn't discount your assertion, as being a 'possibility' at all. Come on! When you realize the efforts Da' Judge went through to assure his safety as WW2 involvement increased, .....oh yeah!

First the nerve to have Beth Sarim built for him, during a depression, when people were starving, when people stuffed their shoes with cardboard 'cause the soles were worn out........then secretly, underhandedly he had Beth Shan constructed. A second house, as big as the first approx 5000sqft! . But it differed in that it had a bomb shelter under it! Also a 2nd bomb shelter built under a barn or some sort! Two bomb shelters .... for him and his guards and servants.

I would bet my bottom dollar, that as well as the fully stocked larder, he also had gas masks etc as mustard gas was used in that war.

Now with this disaster in Japan, is it only me or is everyone thinking ..... geez what will I do if this happened in my neighborhood??? Do we think for a NewYork minute that watchtower heads aren't thinking the same thing...... and always have???

So there you are Alfred, I didn't stab you! After all....maybe johnny the bethelite was on to something when he said.....they're working on some 'secret' construction!! Hey.. they built bunkers before, didn't they?

THE ANALOGY OF LEAVING THE ORGANIZATION OF JWs

can you give an analogy of what it was like (for you personally) leaving the organization of jehovahs witnesses?.

for me, it was very much like the story of mountain climber aron ralston.

the canyon wall of the narrow passage was the watchtower bible & tract society.

For me .... maybe it was more like being on a raft in the middle of the ocean. At first it seemed a godsend to have found it as it seemed I had found safety there.

But then it started to break-up, keeping my balance was difficult now as the boards nailed to the framework tore apart. The salt air made me so thirsty. The thing started to sink. I couldn't swim you know.

Now I'm really struggling for my life, floating & grasping at the loose boards ... and still so thirsty. I try to swim but go under, gulping the salt water. Through the waves I spy the shore and start to hope. Weeping and not sure I have the strength, I kick on and finally I lay there on the warm sand in the light of the sun, and I think......I made it!

These charlatans are more 'hit and run' evangelists. Pump them up, grab the money and run!

To compare these guys with the watchtower is ..... hmmm is there a comparison??

Seems to me the watchtower magicians want your whole life .... as the born-ins can confirm. They aren't asking for a quick hit of your money .... they also want your blood sweat and tears.

They want you to work in their factories producing books & magazines, they want free labour - salespersons to not only sell the stuff, but to continually buy it themselves and convince others to join them. Thereby guarranteeing more foolish future salespersons. It's a longterm contract that has you basically signing on the dotted line to ..."identify you as one of jehovah's witnesses in association with god's .......spirit-directed organization" (baptismal vow)- & god help you if you try to break that contract!!!!!!!

So geez what an amazing plan! What other Printing Co in the world has 7 million workers who not only do not expect a paycheque, medical or retirement plan, who themselves cover the costs of distribution for all literature in the communities, spend millions of hours training new workers for this company org, show their loyalty by even letting their families die for it, get thrown in jail for it, deprive the family of special fun times that make wonderful memories to cherish, give up all relatives who 'just can't see what a great thing this', shun family and friends if they stop doing all of the above ......boy that will make them think twice eh??

What other Real Estate Developer has millions of skilled tradesmen & women to go to work on all and any project in the world (well mostly NY 'cause that's where the best RE is) Willing strong backed workers renovating old buildings, quick build's ... a snap of the Fingers and it's done ... all costs (travel, equipment, etc) mostly covered by the 'workers'! Oh, and don't get hurt 'cause your on your own then!

I could keep going here but my head is starting to ache, so add your own thoughts 'cause there's way more!!

i typed the first part and the last part of the paragraph in question so as to avoid the filler.. we too may face situations for which we could be tempted to seek unscriptural solutions.

for example, are you discouraged because you have no yet found a suitable marriage mate?

i received a phone call from my mother (who is still a jw, but very accepting of me still as her loving son, even though i was disfellowshiped for questioning the oranization and choosing the bible over the watchtower at that time).

she makes normal talk, just regular stuff pertaining to situations of ours.

about me coming to visit, and or her coming.
