if they have an agenda it will be revealed in a short time , let them play it out .. however , some genuine first posters can be put off by somebody jumping the gun and attacking them .. please give the first posters time to get to know this site.. smiddy.

I'm thinking too, of any poster being treated

with disrespect. If you have read John Cedars

story, he mentioned that his greatest discouragements

came from own exjw community.(or words to that effect)

Not sure of that exact link...but if you are interested

this is an excellent utube. Close to the end Cedars talks

about those who were nasty as jw's, can still be nasty

as ex jw's.

were you surprised when you went in service for the first time (this question is prob for those who were not born-in) --.

when i first had the "privilege" of going in field service as an unbaptized publisher, i remember feeling so surprised at everybody's apparent slowness.

all the talks at the kh emphasized how we were in the last days, doing a life saving, critical, never to be repeated, work, etc., yet you get in the car group and ignore people walking right by or coming toward the car, and then slowly walk from house to house.

I just started going out on my own... I like to just get

things done! Big disappointment really.

though today they are now generally sites for public assistance, not personal blogs or opinion or doctrinal sites.

free minds has covered doctrines, news, opinions, and more for 32 years (since 1996 online).

Awful experience: I threw my WT library out!

yes, i threw my wt library out: my recycle bin was full.

even if i had imagined this experience to be similar to a prisoner getting rid of his chains, this was not so.. instead, it brought up all the memories i had shared with my family where we were excited about the release of the revelation book; the clear feeling of ultimate knowledge when we showed the live forever book, the questions i had practiced with my family in the organized book, my cousins who got baptized as well.

somehow, all i could think of was only the good memories i had shared with my family and almost cried about it.. and then, i started to think of the division, the hatred and the pain that became prevalent in my family as some were disfellowshipped and thus, ostracized.

Ecan6 ... part of the healing process... acceptance.

Our relationship with watchtower was compelling,

always on the edge of our seats.... so to speak.

Euphoria & jubilation at times and then dissapointment

& failure........ up & down .... Our future all neatly laid out

for us ....no need to think!

Takes awhile to give up fantasy for reality.

i have come to the conclusion that posting here and visiting this site is not healthy for me anymore.

i just get angry and upset when i read all the stories of injustice and corruption that go on in the jehovahs witness religion.

they are true no doubt, as i have personally experienced many injustices and abuses in my life from being a witness.
