by konceptual99 ini am currently having to spend a little time waiting for an appointment in the vicinity of a central london station.
whilst waiting i am catching up on some work in a cafe.
i can see a couple of trolleys and have been watching them for around an hour now.. not one person has stopped to take literature.

Need best info on why Jesus could never have chosen org in 1918?
by GodZoo inhi folks... i was playing a tiny online ipad multiplayer war game last night and one started a dialogue with a another player i was attacking.
in it he quoted a scripture.. and it turns out he he is a 25 year serving jw.
possibly an elder... well.. i spent 6 hours tapping away with one finger in the chat box until 8am this morning with him about all the issues on sex abuse, the money grab and most importantly the subject of jesus turning his attention to the earth and selecting the then bibles students as his one and only people based on what they were teaching (spiritual food) back then.. he knows nothing about any of the current and historic child sex abuse cases (never heard of candice conti etc) and even less about the insane early teachings or russell etc.. i completely blew his mind in our 6 hour text chat not to mention my index finger nearly falling off!.

Don't you find it odd, as I do, that if Christ in 1919 actually looked upon those books & writings of the bible students with his own majestic eyes .....that these very words from the Volumes & early watchtowers are not inscribed & displayed on the walls of every KH in the world untill this very day! But no....they have been changed and called apostate literature now, and unavailable from the watchtower society! Forbidden & hidden!!!! hahahah what a bunch of crap huh?

the latest wt article to be studied speaks of "using our imagination" to think about the blessings of the kingdom.
the whole study was centered around how we can, and should, spent time visualizing ourselves in the new world, working along with our brothers.

The first thing you notice, is the soothing influence of the 'improved' wt music......... it sounds so right, so meaningful somehow. It has an air about it that says "see we have it all, we are special, we even sound holy" ...and then the con continues! -

How much damage has internet done against the The Watchtower Society ?

The internet is eroding watchtower lies. With all their early warnings about the evils & deception of the net ...it made me determined not to have a computer. I felt so righteous every time they spewed propaganda about some bad computer experiences from the platform. Then ........I got a computer ........omg within a month I was on my way OUT!

July 19th Watchtower Summary. Insanity
by Lemonp injust got back from the wt study and it overall was just so blindingly biased and leading.. i had to read it from the platform too, i hope they couldn't see the confounded look on my face as i read this craziness out!.
first we consider the faith of abel, enoch, noah, abraham, isaac and jacob, and moses.. all of these people are held up as sterling examples of blind faith, with the article pointedly saying that their imaginations sustained their faith in gods promises for them.
no mention anywhere at all that all of these characters saw and talked to angels, spoke to god himself, saw and performed miracles, or any of the other feats experienced by these characters.

Can someone explain to me ......
by notoneoftheboys ini was never told before i got baptised that i would loose my family if i got disfellowshipped.. no one told me i would get disfellowshipped if i had a blood transfusion.
no one told me that the gb was all powerful and tolerate no dissention.
that if i spoke to a d/f person i would get disfellowshipped.. no one told me in my marriage bed there were rules if broken d/f shipping resulted.. i was told my brothers would die or care for me.

I'm with you Sail Away ..... all this crap that we clearly see today, was not the focus. We 'studied' the Paradise book, and got baptised within months because of the assured1975 Armageddon/paradise campaign!
Because we could ask any question and voice any doubts at that time, why should we think getting dunked would change all that. Well change it did .........immediately!
Imaging how far witnesses would get if they knocked on the door and told the truth! Knock knock................goodmorning, we are here to share the good news that if you study with us, we will break-up your family and no one will talk to you ever again! Unless you say you are sorry and spend 1 or 2 years sitting at the back of the hall in silence! You must throw your children away if they break the rules and hate them & call them mentally diseased!
Who would ever think that would ever happen, Many don't know because with a huge smile on their wt faces,they hide all that stuff under their skirts!
