Would I be disfellowshiped for this?
by ExBethelitenowPIMA inif a publisher openly told the elders that they thought the gb were wrong about some or a lot of things, but said they will not share these thoughts with anyone else then would this be a case of disassociation disgfellowship?.
my guess is lots of elders meetings and shepherding calls to try to get you to say something they could use against you.. but what would be the sin in which you are not repented?.
the only reason to be dissed is non repentance?.

My Denisovan heritage is pretty obvious. Archaic Homo Sapiens? I prefer Troglodyte.

Weight Loss and Insulin Control
by cofty inask most fitness coaches, nutritionists or health professionals and they will tell you that weight control is about calories in versus calories out (cico).
after all, you can’t ignore the laws of thermodynamics!.
the flaw in this simplistic reasoning ought to be obvious; a human body and a steam engine are two different things.. our bodies have evolved complex systems of control and feedback loops in order to maintain a steady interior environment, also known as homeostasis.

There's so much misinformation out there. Sadly, a lot of it comes from medical professionals.
At the beginning of covid lockdowns I started an experiment. I was cooking a lot more, because my wife was working from home, and I was home more too.
My experiment was to see what happened when I started using way more butter, cream, sour cream, red meat etc. in my cooking. No, scrimping. I stopped worrying about how much oil I used in things (avocado oil for high heat, olive oil for cooler things. Sometimes bacon fat!).
My wife was concerned because she normally takes full advantage of her free gym membership, but couldn't anymore because of the lockdowns. She would tell people about the meals I was cooking and they'd say, "Oh, that sounds yummy, but I'd be worried about my weight and health."
So, what happened to us? My weight stayed the same and my wife lost weight. I get fairly comprehensive lab work three or four times a year and my cholesterol levels (they were already good) have been dropping. My hdl/ldl ratio is now consistently abnormal... on the good side of the scale, under 2.0.

Buildings seem pretty, ehm, solid to me. There are plenty of other things like cave paintings and other art (Venus of Hohle Fels). I can't imagine that you've missed these things if you have been "interested" in the subject.

Our First Christmas Tree
by Queequeg inearly on, after we left jw land, my wife said to me, “i hope you don’t care, but i don’t ever see myself doing any christmas stuff.
i don’t really understand why some ex jws decide to do that crap.” we agreed that parties were a little different because of the social aspects, but other wise i didn’t care.
now… there’s a 16’ douglas fir with ornaments and lights in our living room.

Avatar 2: The Blue Space Monkeys Learn To Swim (spoilers ahead)
by LoveUniHateExams ini saw jim cameron's avatar sequel last week.. right off the bat re the avatar franchise, i believe that there are two types of viewers.. firstly, there are the fans.
the people who see the pretty visuals and immediately conclude that avatar is the greatest film franchise of all time.. then there are the rest of us - people who can appreciate the world-building and stunning visuals but do not use them to cover over the flaws, more of which later.. the plot - jake sully, neytiri and their children have to leave their idyllic arboreal existence and seek refuge among a green-skinned tribe which lives a semi-aquatic lifestyle.. bad guy quaritch is back ... in avatar form.
that's some great imagination - nice one, jim.. so the humans are back because the earth is dead.

I saw it in 3d.
Meh.
The visuals were good.
Definitely bland characters.
There was a lot of not very subtle manipulation. When the movie was over one of my friends said "Wow, that left me with a negative feeling." I said, "I know, it makes want to go out and kill shitty humans. "
The funny thing is, I think humans can be pretty awful, but I don't like James fucking Cameron manipulating me.
The best part of the evening was dinner and beer with friends afterwards!
