What were your favorite assembly foods?
by NoRegrets inso i'm young enough to not remember having hot prepared meals at assemblies, but heard all about it from my parents and the like.
but what i do remember were all of the cold sandwiches and institutional snacks and soda.

The whole atheistic movement is a pseudo religion wrapped up in faith.
And now we come to the inevitable juncture of tossing in a strawman /red herring in this thread. A kindly reminder, if I may.
Atheism is not an religion.
Atheism is not based, according to your perceived, misinformed (intentional or otherwise) understanding, on pseudo science.
Atheism never requires a leap of faith.
Atheism is a position only one thing, one thing (repetition for emphasis). It is the disbelief in the claims/assertions of any god that people like to gratuitously toss around.
Carry on.

If there is a God why didn't he sign our DNA
by scotoma intodays scientists can and do insert their trademark into dna.. why couldn't jehovah anticipate scientists learning this technique and stumbling across a strand that says "human by yhwh"?.
that would have answered a lot of questions.. he could have even included a model number human2.0.

Your God asks for too much
by Qcmbr ini was wondering (again) about what i got out of my deal with mormon god.
the more i thought about it the more i realised that the xian god asks way too much and offers too little.. what does xg demand:.
1 - obedience to changeable often arbitrary commandments normally with little clarification of when and when not to apply them.

Agnostic while I was in the JW organization and when I finally came to my senses (took a stand, actually - on my thoughts), I considered myself an atheist. I don't believe in spirituality as it's a dodgy word and means a millions things to many people. Yet I am in awe with nature and human nature.
Looked at many religious beliefs with an extremely open mind and still felt all they were offering was soft toffee goo - tastes great but no substance. But, each to their own as long as their beliefs do not encroach on my personal freedoms or influence any secular laws.

The Super Bowl - 9er Fans get over it....you got BEAT!
by dreamgolfer inyup, that is what i saw, the "kid" ck for the 9ers could not get the ball in the endzone via a throw, so that is it over and out.
if crabtree was a star he would have knew how to break free and catch the ball regardless if a harmless raven was on him, (sir mike was pushing off, too btw).
the game is over!
