well things have changed big time for me.
on the 3rd of dec. finally, i have left my work at bethel and moved almost 500 kilometres away to a new life.. some of you were aware of my work in a european branch, and have kept my confidence.
for this i am eternally grateful...you know who you are.. the huge weight that has been taken off my shoulders is both a comfort and a relief.. when i settle into my new home properly, i intend to write some memoirs of life at the branch, hoping that others will find it of interest.. for now my future is for the first time uncertain and that makes it very very exciting, but i am no longer under the control of others yay!!.
Great news Erik!!!
It's wonderful when we hear of another person joining the human race and leaving behind the WT cult.
I'm really looking forward to your future posts.

Welcome d
This site has helped me more than I am can put into words. Hang around and read the threads that challenge your beliefs, they help you open your mind to different ways of thinking etc...
This book helped me a lot: Download: JEHOVAH UNMASKED Nathaniel J. Merritt (author) has provided it for free as a pdf. https://sites.google.com/site/leveck/
I don't agree with everything the author wrote but 'boy or boy' did it help me open my mind & see things from such a different viewpoint.
I'm currently reading Bart D. Ehrman - 'God's Problem'. Another great book!

i read that some are quite happy that another gb bites the dust.. i think of my "faithful" elderly jw mother who helped many many families come into the "truth".
she's an intelligent woman.
however, she's blinded by her beliefs (being in a cult).
Were You Happy That Jack Barr Of The GB Died?
No, makes no difference to me one way or the other.
I will be more than happy when this stupid excuse for a religion dies!!!
If only I could live long enough to see it die, unfortunately it probably will never die, it will keep changing to suck more people into it's web of shit and continue to ruin their lives.

after either being a witness or studying with them, and you find out stuff that has you leave, where do you go?
i don't think they are the true religion, but i do think they teach a lot of stuff that is correct.
like the trinity being a false doctrine, no idle worship, including crosses, and hell isn't a forever torture.
Welcome Still Looking
Glad you found us here. Keep reading and searching and your journey will take you places you never thought possible.
Is there any true religions out there . . .
'True Religion' is an oxymoron.

i'm "vidiot", born-in but a three years-plus fader, a six-month-ish lurker (after i initially worked up the huevos to check this place out, i kept coming back for "booster shots"), and would probably be labelled an "apostate" by any jc who bothered to track me down and persuade me to run off at the mouth.
i'm up on all the dramarama, i've read coc and and ad, and nobody here needs to fill me in on anything.
i do have some "life story" stuff, but it's rather dull (compared to some).. * a quick shoutout to fellow canadians lady lee and outlaw (one of the funniest posters i've ever encountered).. anyways, the main reason i'm finally announcing myself is that lately there's a few questions/wonderings i've had, and i was hoping that the really deep thinkers here (metatron, wtwizard, mary, dogpatch et.

i am new to this site.
i've been out of it for about 17 years.
i've never really looked back or felt nger about any of it.
Welcome Not bitter
Nice that you found us here. I look forward to your future posts.
I've told my parents and they are in their mid 70's, it didn't go down too well. After showing them what I know they are still die hard JWs, no shunning from them at all. It's great being free to express myself whenever they start talking JW propaganda :) I couldn't force myself to lie about why I left this crappy religion, I believe they deserve to know the truth about the JW version of the TRUTHâ„¢.
Each case is different and I wish you all the best.

just curious.
if they have living expenses, it must mean that they do their jobs all the time.
but these men also are of the anointed class, right?
I've read on this forum that this cult brings in about $1,000,000,000 (1 Billion) a year.
The GB live very well, not sure if they get loads of cash in their pocket, but all things are paid for them.
They DO however get paid with POWER & GLORY! 7 million drones worship them, hang onto every word that comes out of their mouth. That's worth more than cash. Donald Trump & Bill Gates have more cash than any GB member but no one worships them. I bet Donald Trump would pay billion$ to have 7 million people worship him.

all of us at one time or another have owned a automobile that was a real lemon!.
the car may have been shiny, stylish and totally cool-looking....the only problem was it was a piece of crap.. repair after repair after repair in a never ending spiral of maintenance kept it in the shop more than it was on the road!.
you may have really loved that car--it might have been a classic---but--it proved to be totally useless for basic transportation because:.
Terry loved it!!!
