I am sooooooooooooooo embarrassed that I believed it, however I was only 10 when my family joined, so I can forgive myself for not knowing any better.

I believe children should be taught critical thinking in schools.

And sure enough, with no brain and no knowledge of anything at all as the Aliens watched on the bloke sang,

Getting baptized because it was "the right thing to do"

back when i was about 14 i was approached by an elder that i considered a friend.

in hindsight it is obvious that he was "assigned to me" to encourage baptism.

he told me that he got baptized because it was the "right thing to do.

I wasn't pressured but I was told by my bible study conductor at the time: "3Mozzies, you will never know the feeling of protection from Jehovah unless you are baptised" . . . (I was young at the time, I fell for it)

What a crock, the stuff that happened to me years later as a baptised JW proved that either; Jehovah forgot to protect me or he didn't exists. I think we all know which it was . . .

Currently I'm helping a young unbaptised publisher from my (ex)KH not to get baptised, I have been planting so many seeds in his brain, I think it's going to grow a fern. He is being pressured to get baptised, so I am working as hard as possible to help him. It really looks like it is working.

tuesday night, i drove to a couple of older sister's homes, and dropped off their magazines, and kindom ministries.

thursday night, i went to the meeting and cleaned and locked up the building.

i also dropped someone off who earlier recieved a ride to the hall but their ride couldn't come back to take them home.

I feel for you MLE, The last few weeks your posts are screaming: "I WANT OUT!!!!" I think it's time you started to fade before you end up in a Mental Hospital.

I think of the example the airlines give us when in an emergency: "Put the oxygen mask on yourself first, before your children, then and only then are you in a position to help others" Time to start your fade and slowly help your family. Living like this is not living.
