As I have been out for a while now, I have found out about many past skeletons in people who I thought were perfect. Most are human. I bet most crossed the line at some point.

WTS ADVICE FOR YOUNG WOMEN WANTING TO MARRY
by still wondering inwait, speak to deborah first.. .
the upside of this approach is that deborah is a real woman and will be able to give you girls proper advice.. the downside is that you will either need to first find a top rate medium (shes been dead quite a while) or wait for rutherfords god to bring her back from the dead (which rutherford maintains will happen any day real soon now if not even before the convention ends).. you will easily recognise her as rutherford has thoughtfully printed a picture of her in the new and bang up to date children book.. unfortunately if you dont live in the usa you will need to telephone her, which thankfully has recently been invented.
expect to hang on the line a while as she will be very busy playing her agony aunt role for so many jws worldwide all seeking her advice, but rutherford says that it will be well worth the wait.. .

i was brought up as a jws.
served as an elder and special pioneer attended the ministerial training school been an instructor of the pioneer school till disassociating myself from the borg in 1994.. being an active jws is not an easy life and involves all your time, hardly you have time for yourself.

Interesting thread. I say church sometimes too. Depends who I am talking to and what my mindframe is at the time. My heart breaks for your sis. When she is old enough, she will be out. There is no way she will recoil and enjoy it the way your parents are forcing it down her throat so harshly.
Be there for her! I know you will in any way you can. Help her to be shrewd.
I am guessing you are a younger man, in your 20's still. So what are you doing now if you don't mind me asking, still working in film/editing? Did you find it difficult to get a job, and support yourself after moving away from the mother ship? Is the congregation Karen spelled right? Just wondering about that so I can look it up, sounds interesting.

I know how you feel. So many of us do....((HUGS)).
Until they are woken up, they will continue. They are poisoned mentally with the food of the lie. All you can do is continue to be happy and lead a good life. My mom, sister, and aunt and uncle and two cousins shun me completely. It hurts. Bad. One day maybe they will wake up. Hang in there darling!

Things we never told the public.....
by drewcoul ini thought it would be interesting to discuss the things we believed as jw's, but were kind of embarassed about and didn't tell the public about, since it would make us look ridiculous.......... one thing i can think of is the idea that only jw's will make it through armageddon.
everyone else would be destroyed.
i would never tell anyone that even though we all believed it.

No flip flops, need to wear panty hose, have to have certain colored hose for assembly parts....no denim to meetings. People would think that was ludicrious.

I am curious what happened later on? Did your ex abide by this? I have some similar language but not nearly as specific and there are no sanctions for my ex, which I am fighting for since he does not abide....

That is really low...judgmental of him. I am sorry you had to see that. I too have had some really mean emails from my mom and sister. They also ignore me. It is very upsetting.
